  • FRUSTRATING - TEDIOUS - AVOID

I gave up when the point and click logic descended into arcade games.

The very negative reviews online for this game are right.

It is super-frustrating, illogical and badly made.
  • Dang arcade games

That arcade game with the spaceship in the rabbit room? No thank you! Please add a skip button to arcade game stuff.

The drum one with the drummer rabbit wasn’t bad though.
  • Gorgeous

Fun gorgeous little game. Thoroughly enjoyed it!! Good challenge but not crazy hard like some.
  • Beautiful

What another fantastic game by COTTENGAME. Keep them coming!
  • Good Game

Overall this was a good game. I think the puzzles were the perfect level of difficulty, if you play these types of games often it’s not too hard to figure out what you need to do. There were only about 3 or four times that I had to watch a walkthrough to figure something out. The only thing that slightly annoyed me was the tap to walk, the character doesn’t maneuver around objects well and stops abruptly sometimes but it wasn’t that big of a deal. If you’re into these types of puzzle games then I recommend this one!

  • A great storey/puzzle game

I really enjoyed this game, following the story, working out the clues/puzzles to move on. (Had to refer to walk through a couple of times, but actually with a bit more patience, every step is doable). Some clever touches. I also like the premise and the graphics of it.
  • Great game

My first review never showed up so I’m writing another. I think it’s an excellent game, puzzles are good and the arcade games aren’t that difficult at least on an iPad, plus they’re part of the challenge of the game. Cotton’s games are all 5 stars in my opinion.
  • Different, cute and challenging

Another great game from Cottongames, I do recommend playing on a larger screen like an iPad as I found at time difficult to activate certain things for example going down the well or out the door, as they are super close together. Occasionally I would get stuck or lost on what to do next as there is no hint function. I found myself running around not knowing what to do. I couple of useless things in game that will throw your objectives off course like the pipe that’s broken on the roof of Mr.sheep’s room to the dead tree and the rat that jumps over to the right where a plank could have been used or the 2 story tree inside the 3 level building, a broken vehicle further on just to mention a few, made me feel like the game was unfinished leaving me asking myself what was the purpose of that... My experience with point and click games is that if something is interactive, then it has a Purpose.. but apart from this there was only 2 glitches where the cat gets stuck when walking clockwise above the sewer puzzle in the area with the big statue, had to restart game. And Spanish text in the laboratory after explosion. Controls can be tricky using iPhone.

This game is very reasonably prised at half the price you would expect to pay for a game like this. The game had a nice story, and it took me several nights to finish, playing over 2 hours each night. I got a lot of enjoyment playing this game, and ever other Cottongames games. As my last review stated: “I CAN’T WAIT FOR WHATS NEXT” please make your next game trippy, out of this world and while I play it, I will forget how boring my reality really is. You guys are awesome and captivate a players imagination. So thank you and keep up the good work !!

  • Beautiful Art but Difficult for the Wrong Reasons

I’ve enjoyed just about every game from this developer.
Despite beautiful illustrations/animation, and a cute story, this app, dated 2016, is not quite ready for primetime.
For one, the language translation can be hilarious, and one wonders if Google Translate was used. For example, a certain security guard asked repeatedly if the protagonist was “selling oil”. Maybe there is an expression in the Chinese language that would make sense of this, but in English it makes no sense at all.
Getting the character to move the way you want him to can be a challenge. Pushing a cart, for example, requires approaching the cart at just the right angle, followed by pressing the hand icon, followed by pressing an arrow to direct the cart in the preferred direction, followed by pressing an X to stop pushing the cart… I can’t help but think there’s an easier way, and I was frequently hitting the wrong button and getting frustrated with the navigation.
Another example of this game seeming underdeveloped was the lack of a menu to silence the music or sound effects.
The puzzles themselves are or more of the trial and error variety; rarely did I complete a puzzle through insight or an “a ha” breakthrough. Even though I often felt a great sense of satisfaction at having successfully completed a challenge, I also migh have felt a bit lucky. It’s one of those games where I feel bad for the other player out there who didn’t have my same luck.
This has not been my experience with other games from the developer, which have been largely excellent.
Finally, there were two puzzles that I simply couldn’t figure out. One, I don’t remember which, I had to look up a walkthrough for. Another, involving the chessboard, I was only able to solve by trying every combination of the corresponding combination lock.
The game doesn’t have any hints or tips— correction: it has exactly one hint, having to do with a drain in the courtyard. I suspect they intend to add more tips in the future, but that one silly nagging tip became irritating after offering itself to me a dozen or more times. The puzzle in question was more difficult than it needed to be because crucial detail was very difficult to discern, even on an iPad screen. Did I mention it doesn’t use the whole screen? The game seems to be maximized for a different device, with dark borders all around, and much wasted screen space.
In short, I’m not sure I’m glad I purchased the game, but I’m really glad I finished it.
