A fitness app that only focuses on steps and outdoor cycling is not inclusive. Healthy exercise habits take many forms and only rewarding steps is a lazy way to promote “health”. There are many activities that ALL people can do- swimming, indoor cycling, weight lifting which all all captured by a watch or phone and should count to a persons health journey. This app has a very long way to go before it could really have the chance to make a long term positive impact on people. Taking people’s energy and bringing it together in a fun competitive way is a good idea- this app doesn’t do that people steps and outdoor cycle aren’t the only way for people to exercise.
