In these stressful times where I can’t bare the heartbreaking news of the world, I’m binging on Desert Island Discs. So interesting, calming and relaxing.
Background music
Many programmes feature background music when the presenter or guests are talking. I find it difficult to focus on what is being said as I am also drawn to listen to the music. I can’t understand the need for this distraction.
Missing bits
Hi , love the podcast 100 % but as my title suggests there are bits I would love to look back on but I’m rebuffed due to my location which is quite absurd considering the articles are in the past . I refer to TMS and the many shows that are simply not available because I live in Australia, is this a show of defiance because I left our shores ? Please explain , look forward to your response and keep up the otherwise great work.

Proud Expat living in Canada
I can’t say enough about having this App available in Canada.
I set my alarm every weekday to listen to Jeremy Vine. I also
enjoy many other programs such as Newscast, Martin Lewis
Any Questions & Any Answers and many more. The quality of
them are unbelievable, so many personalities who are so talented.
If the BBC wanted to make more money they should set a price and
I’m sure many like me would willingly pay for this fantastic radio
content.
I’m hoping that one day soon you could give us BBC IPLAYER
PROGRAMS?
I have also enjoyed Nick Wallis covering The Post Office Scandal.

It is not clear why some podcasts are only available in the UK. This makes scrolling through the site a frustrating experience.

Hundreds and probably thousands of audio programs of every type - there is always something I can find and like and at no additional cost. Even - surprisingly good- abridged audiobooks. And of course my very favourite- I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue. Silly comedy excellence since I was a young lad.

You have the best and most wide ranging 5 minute news. All your readers are great, but Sue Montgomery is is my favourite.
I have lived in Canada for over 50 years, but grew up with BBC, so I’m a huge fan. I am so glad to be able to receive all your stations. Hopefully the dimwits in UK government will not decimate the BBC, an icon in broadcasting.
