Free subscription, super reliable!
This app is a wonderful way to make my garage door smart! I used to have to pay an annual fee with my Liftmaster and I am so glad that I no longer have to pay that! All features are included for free!Darthaflewart
Huge improvement over my old Chamberlain!
Had to buy a new garage door opener because the motor on my Chamberlain gave out. First of all, I had no idea at the time I got it that chamberlain charged a subscription fee to use their app! Ridiculous! Not to mention their app was sub par and not straightforward at all.
I found beamUP openers on Amazon and was sold when they mentioned no subscription fees. The app is a huge improvement from what I had been using. I get notifications every time my door has been opened which is helpful to know when my kids get home from school. The UI is also really good. I haven’t found any issues with either the opener or the app. Well executed!Howie10032
No Subscription, No More Keys
I ordered a beamUP Smart Controller for my garage because I was sick of the subscription fee with myQ. Unlimited users is really useful when you have a big extended family.
No keys is awesome. Walking the dog with my phone, air pods, leash, poo bags, tennis ball, etc. is enough without needing to bring my keys too.BigTunaHop
Garbage product with non-existent support
Has been 12 days since I contacted support. App crashed during setup, device registered somewhere in the la-la land. Not associated with my account, and when it comes to support... after 12 days of waiting, even the crickets that I heard the first few days died by now, and so have died my dreams of using this overpriced piece of trash! No more worries
Once it is set up, it is a relief to know that we can be assured our garage door is closed and if it isn’t to be able to close it without having to drive all the way back to close it. Setting it up was not easy because of nuances in our router software. But once those issues were resolved it works like a charm.Drjgh
App crashes when setting up
App crashes after controller has been configured. Pressing continue crashes the app. Tried on multiple phonesvovroo
App Issues
I get to where is says Connection successful and then I hit continue and the app crashes... at this I can’t set up the device at all.

Unusable app
The app keeps crashing every time I try and set this opener up. I enter my WiFi info and it tells me to set up the device and create an account, however the app crashes. Now I have a useless piece of expensive plastic in my garage. What a crappy system!!! Beware!May.day.

Edited: the problem has NOT be resolved. Downloaded the update and still crashes as soon as I click “continue setup”
The app keeps crashing and will not let me establish an account. Great way to make a first impression and keep customers.
Also called and emailed customer support on 11/18 and I’m still waiting for a response.
