  • Fantastic app

Keep the updates coming. Has turned an already great quad into a fantastic quad. Easy to use and powerful.
  • Needs iOS 9'

Needs ios 9 Support, should be simple to add, dji app supports this. It's my favorite os and still on many of my devices .
  • Limited 150m max altitude !!

    Please, parrot,
Please unlock the 150m max altitude,
Or let me fly higher !!! .....at least 500m
  • Works well but lack important features

I ve been using FF on my iphone and it works well and reliably as long as the phone is placed in airplane mode whIch is always a good idea when flying a drone.

I also tried using it on an iPad running iOS 10.3.3, just to download files but the app crash whenever i try to access the SD card. No issue accessing the card from the iphon using iOS 11

While not a FF issue but a drone issue, i cannot use video clips in iMovie unless i edit them in camera roll first. Annoying.

    Missing features:

You can not save video files to the camera roll Pictures, yes... videos no. If you airdrop them to another iOS device (one by one...) they will save to that device cam roll just fine

You can not select multiple files to save the camera roll or airdrop. You have to do it picture by picture. Waste of time!

While the app record basic flight data, it doesnt record distance from controller which is important to evaluate interference and reliability.

No way to select speed units, like mph, kmh or knots. You only get mps or fps.

  • Nice and easy to use

My first drone and after spending two days playing around with the drone and app I found it easy to use, my biggest problem is remembering to restart the recording once you change from taking photos back to recording.
  • Setting WB and 2.7k 60fps

I think this has to be one of the best drones my only concern is that I can’t make a custom white balance. In my opinion the images are beautiful but sometimes it seems a little to yellow or orange and the presets all lean towards the warm to much. I think that if we can get a firmware to fix this problem we would have the best all around drone and also I like 2.7k now if parrot could get 60fps in 2.7k this would most definitely best drone in 2018.....

  • Ideas for improvement

    1. Real-time photo save to phone’s photo library. Photo could resize to a tiny one.

    2. 360 photo automatic shot mode
  • Puzzled by the lack of support of imported videos

So maybe it is just me, but when I import my videos I can only view them via the FreeFlight 6 app. Want to watch those videos in any other app? Forget about it. Want to edit the videos in iMovie? Forget about it. They don’t even show up since they are mp4 and Apple really doesn’t seem to like anything that’s not a .mov file. Other than this, the app works just fine.

    Developer Response

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to review our product. We are using MP4 format as it's the one supported by all devices and OS. I can't speak for Apple however, you can convert the file to .MOV and work with those. If there's any issues, kindly contact our Technical Support department at https://www.parrot.com/support/hotline and they will assist you further, we're eager and ready to help. We look forward to speaking to you soon. Kind Regards, Parrot Community Support
  • Poor connection and misleading info from parrot.

    UPDATE

My original review is below, i received a response from Parrot saying the app is designed for the Anafi drone.
this would explain why it doesn’t work with the bebop, but not why as a registered bebop user Parrot contacted me to update my app... no point in updating to something that won’t work with my drone.

In my opinion do research through user forums and such before updating software with Parrot as it can be a hit or miss experience.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW

The app looks good and the reviews and discounts offered by parrot for the in app purchases make it a sensible upgrade option.

    However...

After several attempts including wiping a resetting an iPad prior to install to ensure a clean set up with no conflicts the app simply will not connect my sky controller 2 or Bebop 2.
It knows it’s there but just keeps telling me to just plug the USB lead in from my sky controller.

Have tried various setups on various devices and just no connection at all, I hope parrot aren’t making their updates only applicable to there latest drones.

Until connection can be sorted will stick with FreeFlight Pro, does most of the same things and works great on the bebop with iPhone and iPad.
