Keeps on going to Low memory mode
It seems the app is just a place holder for something which was planned but never executed, everything that i open just keeps making the app show mw low memory mode, well sure creating an app is tough, but then don’t create it if its not able to keep up with the features that the web app provides. If not show in edit mode atleast show read only mode.

Poor. Very poor
I left the coda platform about a couple of years ago in frustration. I recently returned because I still prefer the formulas to other popular platforms such as Airtable and appreciate the flexibility and possibly false hope that coda can provide bespoke solutions. However it feels like nothing has changed. I’d struggle to point to anything that I would call two years better. I’m sure work on the backend has happened. I’m sure something’s run quicker. However basic problems remain unsolved and it feels like there’s a lack of momentum or direction. Coda should be blowing the competition away by now but it isn’t and this app is a clear representation of that. I doubt the app ux has been refined in years and it was bad then too.

One of the worst apps ever made
This has got to be one of the word apps ever made. I switched from Notion to Coda because the price was right. Converted a few DBs and then installed this app to work on my iPad. Wow, is it hot garbage. Can’t sort or filter tables. Can’t move pages. Can’t share pages. Table functions are a fraction of what can be done on the web - so much so that the app is virtually useless unless all you want to do is add a checkbox or mark something in a select list. As I’m writing this I’m preparing to switch everything back over to notion.

Total afterthought
This app is extremely poor. Their web app is incredible and I get this is just supposed to be a companion to that but they haven’t even implemented folders from the desktop to find your docs?! Clearly this app is an afterthought that does not get regular updates or additional features.
Giving 5 stars for the website version
Coda is such an incredibly powerful tool but the app is sadly lacking in editing power.
Love Coda, but app needs a lot of work
I have to use coda on desktop or in browser on my iPhone or iPad. It’s almost unusable in the app. I get insufficient space errors when trying to search a database that doesn’t even contain files or images. And this is on my 1TB iPhone with over 500GB Free space. No way that I know of to expand the allowable ‘space’ coda is trying to use, I’m guessing it’s some issue with a limited space allocated for temporary files? Either way, browser is the only way I can get it to work on my phone or tablet. Would love to be able to use it through the app if this can somehow be fixed. Coda has otherwise been better than Notion, which I transitioned from, but I never had this issue in the Notion app.

Just the iPhone app on a wider screen
This could hardly be considered an iPad app. It’s just the iPhone layouts with extra horizontal space. None of the rich features from the web version of here.
If you need to make small edits to your pre-existing docs, this is fine I guess, but otherwise, it’s a pretty lazy app.
This is made even more frustrating by the fact that the website is not optimized for touch. For example you constantly have to tap twice to open things because the first tap only triggers the hover behavior.

Poor UX
Clicking on a dropdown list opens the keyboard which then drags the screen down and I have to close the keyboard and scroll up every to just to use the select list which also sometimes closes as this happens.
I take it no one from Coda uses the mobile version?!

Functions but buggy
Web is great; safari or chrome. Really good!
But I’ve been using the app over WiFi on an iPhone 14 Pro for 10mins and it’s crashed twice; and the keyboard hides the cursor now I’m further down the page.
iOS app has a lot to do to catch up with Notion. Disappointed.

Very limited editing
This app is honestly a big reason I turned my company away from coda and to notion. The app is essentially an interactive viewer of your coda pages. You can interact with certain things but page edits are limited to text. No blocks or databases. Notion’s app isn’t perfect but I have many of the apps functions on my iPhone which is powerful. It’s why I switched to it from other note apps for personal use, and why I have it at my company now. I’d imagine many of us would like editing functionality. I get there’s a use case for simple interactions for general users of the app, but editors are generally the ones who are part of the purchase process for apps like this and I’m not even sure if it’s meant for personal use. Pretty sure it’s limited unlike notion.
