  • Perfect for all caching trips

I recently discovered cachetur and have now used it on two trips, a short walking trip and a full-day driving trip. Both times it has exceeded my expectations. Even though the estimates can be a bit off at first, after a few caches it becomes more accurate. I love how you can leave field notes right in the app and have it sync to your drafts.

  • Perfect for caching trips and business trips

I love being able to have all the places I want to visit in one spot and begin navigation to them with a tap. This app is such a great way to use the trips I built on the Cachetur site. I much prefer it to printing hard copies of my trips.

The most recent upgrade adds some wonderful features that will help keep limits on my caching. My favorite new feature is the ability to move from one waypoint to the next without having to return to the trip’s waypoint list.

    Thanks for a great app!

    OLD REVIEW.....
(Installed on my IPad but could not create an account to save my life. Can’t log in... can’t use it. Help was no help! Once you’re on the login page, you are stuck. No back arrow or escape. You must close the app and restart it. Not EVEN going to try it on my iPhone. Can’t give it zero stars🙁)
    NEW REVIEW....
The response from the cachetur.no staff was a perfect explanation to my original opinion. I was using it incorrectly.
I was in a group that used cacherur.no this weekend on a 3 day trip through Georgia for “county” caching. Although I did not create the list or route, it worked perfectly for our need to estimate a schedule and have an optimized driving route. After a few personal uses, I’m sure I will appreciate the app/website even more. I’m impressed..😎

Thanks for your feedback. The app is a companion to the cachetur.no website. It does not function independently of trips planned there. Therefore, account creation is managed through the site, not the app.
  • A perfect tool for executing a geocaching trip planned on cachetur.no web site

The app excels at providing an offline trip book to execute a caching trip planned on the cachetur.no website. Set Arrived or Departed Times at a cache to get updated ETAs for the rest of the trip. A route map shows you where you are on the trip visually. With single taps, you can navigate to a cache and another tap to open your favorite caching app. You can capture notes for virtuals and earthcaches to upload later.

Don't confuse this with a full blown geocaching app. It fills a perfect niche to help you execute a well planned trip efficiently in offline, no-data environments. I use it on all my trips.

  • Must have for geocaching trips

The website is an excellent and best-in-class trip planner for geocaching trips. This app supplements the site by offering a complete trip plan on-the-go without requiring data access (after you’ve downloaded your trip).

Best feature? The ability to track your progress and determine ETA at next stop and final destination.

Latest release added a bunch of features including the ability to store notes in the app and upload them back to the site (when have data again).

Works seamlessly with geocaching apps (if you cache with your phone) and mapping apps.

Hint: make sure to visit the site to create your account and plan your trip.

  • I have just deleted this app

I can’t remember my username. You can’t request help unless you are logged in. What’s wrong with this picture???

    Developer Response

The app is a companion to the website and does not function on a standalone basis. Please contact support through the website.
