Description of ClapReverb

In acoustics, the reverberation time (RT) is a criterion conventionally used to analyze the performance of a closed space. Is the room too reverberant? The application is easy to use! A clean design and simple explanations. The important thing is to wait for a quiet moment, to remain silent (do not speak) and to clap your hands (palms a little curved). Place your cell / tablet in the middle of a room, wait for the validation signal, and clap hands five times. The system gives you reverberation times at the most useful frequencies and helps you decide on the acoustic quality of the room. It's funny, playful and useful. This application is a very useful tool for architects, interior designers, engineers and any other person wishing to consider the acoustic factor in the design of their projects. The application makes it easy to measure reverb times and compare results with typical values. All this in a hand clap! Afterwards, you can make the decision to carry out acoustic treatments adapted if necessary. Results were validated by a rigorous and robust experimental protocol (publication of the results at the 26th International Congress on Sound & Vibration). Your comments and questions are appreciated! We want to improve the application in the future. You can contact us at contact@atelier7hz.com or through the application.

Reviews of ClapReverb

It's a shame.

Good looking app, but it's not working. After the compute button is pressed it shuts down.

Won’t work

Won’t work on Apple ISO 17

Useless app

Only thing I got from this is some sore hands from claping. Doesn’t work. Don’t waste your time on this one. Not even any troubleshooting options to try and figure out why it failed so miserably.

Response from developer

We're sorry to hear that. Could you tell us more about your device (ios, model, etc.) and at what stage you were able to arrive within the application before it malfunctioned (alexis.martin@atelier7hz.com)?
