  • T50

The ReefBeat app does not give you many options and I don’t really care for the app or the design. However I will say the Red Sea light and wave maker are well made. The design of both are heavy duty and they work well. I had trouble when the app logged me out and would not reconnect me and my light was out for almost 8 hours but I was able to finally fix it with out the help of the app. Equipment awsome four stars for sure the app two stars. That’s why you get three from me. Make the app more user friendly and less complicated.
  • Landscape option?

The app works well once connected. I wished there was a way to have it communicate locally before it accesses the cloud. It seems to slow down the start up process.

Additionally, it would be great if there was a landscape display option. I would love to set up a tablet in landscape (instead of portrait only) mode next to the tank.
  • The only thing worse than the software is the support

The software app is buggy to say very least. Because the sensor is rarely advanced the mat I tried to use the manual advanced feature. Even if I sent them at advance to 8 inches it always reverts back to 1.2 even though it’s told me it saved it. It’s terrible. The equipment hardware, however, seems decent as long as you’re willing to work around these issues, and actually depress the button every morning to force it to advance.
