App starts in German

This is a great app and I use it daily to help manage my fructose intolerance. However, the app starts in German, and the entire setup process is in German. It would simply be easier for it to detect your language.

Response from developer

This issue should be resolved, the app should work properly. Thank you for your feedback.

Not in English

Cannot find English version or settings.

Response from developer

The app uses the phone language. You can also change the language via the menu.

English available

Once you manage to get in, you need to click on the three little dots on the top right for settings, and select “Sprache ändern”. That’s “change language”.

Not many reviews, no recent updates, so I’m going to try before I pay

A few good, unique features, but needs more work

As reviewers have said, the app doesn't unfortunately open in the same language as your device. I had the same problem of it starting in German and being unsure about how to change to English. In the end, I worked it out by going into the settings and kind of guessing - it's the second row from the bottom in settings! Having said, that, the odd word was still coming up in German after switching to English ...

I like the fact the app gathers data from other people's experiences - a unique feature that will become more useful over time. The data on additives (E-numbers) is also pretty handy, as I haven't found another histamine intolerance app/site that lets you actually search for additives, rather than having to scroll down a very long list. It's not complete, of course (as so may additives exist and they haven't all been tested), but still, useful.

I was less impressed by the food data. For example, I'd like to see bread (a very basic one!) and more dairy alternatives added to the list. Also, I didn't trust the IBS/FODMAP data, as there were a lot of ratings that contracted the Monash app, which is the official source of FODMAP info and based on recent scientific tests.

Overall, as it stands, I would only use this to check additives, but I'm interested to see how it develops.

Need English

Can I change to English. Please help. I want this app to work.

Innacutate

Can’t speak for others, but the recommendations for fructose malabsorption are wrong. Multiple things that are well known to be high in fructose are listed as being safe. Just wrong.

Response from developer

Please send your findings to office@frag-ingrid.com. Our data are pretty good, so we'd like to check your findings. Thank you.

App in German

Can’t change settings until after going through initial prompts. This needs to be automated for users.

German only?

Downloaded the app expecting English but it’s all in German

Response from developer
