STEAM Trail

This app accompanies the STEAM Trail at Westlakes Science Park to help give users an understanding of how STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths) are part of our daily lives and how they are represented within the businesses located on the Park. Working with, Sellafield Ltd and tenants on Westlakes Science Park, we have created a fun and educational trail, combining arts, science and the great outdoors. The addition of this interactive app has resulted in a set of user-friendly questions for students to test their knowledge on the information boards around the STEAM trail. We have linked this content to Key Stage 2 so lots of it should already be familiar to primary school students and it should support and complement classroom work. The trail contains information that children and primary school students will be comfortable and familiar with. The trail will help boost confidence and consolidate their learning, as well as provide new facts that will inform and entertain.
