  • Components 🤔

This is not that user friendly. I thought I would be able to add my bike and the components would be filled in. All of the components are generic and it’s tricky to indenting which one is appropriate. I felt this tool was targeted at new cyclists, but its pretty clumsy and difficult to use.
  • Need family plan

The app works well for a single rider. I maintain the bikes in our family of 5 and can’t sync the app with my wife and kid’s accounts. A possible workaround would be to allow the user to create manual bikes and update their mileage directly with in the app. I suppose I could create the bikes on my Strava account but would still need a method of updating the mileage directly in the app.

  • Doesn’t Have My Components

Can’t find all the components that are on my rig. Would be nice if it would just load your bike based on its specs.
  • Not recommended

I just downloaded the app. The syncing with Strava was no problem. The app is pretty easy to navigate. However, the most important thing is to add components and unfortunately the app is a complete fail in regards to that. There are a lot of very common components that are not listed like SRAM X01 Shifter or derailleur, DT Swiss hubs, Shimano XT brakes, or OneUp pedals. Just to mention a few. I read a couple reviews before purchasing it and they had the same complaints. I thought since some of the reviews were written awhile ago the developer would have a more comprehensive component list, wrong. It doesn’t take that long to add components, especially very common ones like shimano or SRAM components. I really would like to get a refund. Very disappointing.

Thanks for trying out ProBikeGarage and sharing your honest review with us. We're constantly working to improve the app, and all your feedback is very valuable. We add new products to the pre-defined components catalog every week, but there are still many parts missing. You can also add any custom parts by yourself if you want to track all your gear. You can request a purchase refund directly from the App Store.
  • A good first start...

The app is a good first effort. But needs more refinement. Needed fields include: tire pressure, sealant component option, bike fit specs and a general notes section not tired to component. Also in the rides section for each bike, all bike types and all associated rides appear. Not helpful. Only the rides associated with that bike need displayed.

Thanks for trying out ProBikeGarage and sharing your honest review with us. We're constantly working to improve the app, and all your feedback is very valuable. We'll study how to add more fields to components and bikes. Meanwhile, you can add this info to the notes field. To list your bike rides, open the bike detail page and swipe left until you reach the rides page. There you'll only see the activities associated with the selected bike. You can do the same to list a specific component rides. I hope this info helps, and feel free to contact us directly at support@probikegarage.com to ask us any further questions or share your suggestions.
  • Solves the problem strava won’t

When you have multiple wheelsets for the same bike, and want to be able to track the use of all the involved components, this is the only option I’m aware of.

It works pretty well, would be nice if it included labelled options for front and rear on relevant components, but it’s possible to edit the component names to note this.

Thanks for your review! So glad ProBikeGarage helps you keep track of your multiple wheelsets and bike. A tip to label your components as front and rear is to install them into other components. For example, you can install your tires, brake rotors, and cassette into your "Front wheel" and "Rear wheel". You can do the same for brake pads, levers, etc. I hope that tip helps, and please, let us know any other questions or suggestions you may have.
  • Recommended by a friend, not as good as expected

This app was recommended to me by a friend. App seems okay but a little disappointing. I thought when it requested my Strava account details, and then pulled through my two bikes it would also pull through the component history of said bikes already added with Strava, but apparently not, which is a massive pain as I’d have to enter it all again. Don’t know if this is a result of Strava not allowing it, their recent API changes, or something else! Tried searching for ‘saddle’, and it couldn’t find any results. Also tried searching for ‘shoes’ which would be useful for riders with multiple riding shoes and could track age or mileage and that had no results either. Overall it seems the app doesn’t quite do what I had expected.

Hi Stephen, Thanks for trying out ProBikeGarage and sharing your honest review with us. We're constantly working to improve the app, and all your feedback is very valuable. Unfortunately, Strava doesn't provide a way to access the user's defined components. Our recommendation is to manage components only with ProBikeGarage to prevent extra work. You can register the most important parts first, and then add other parts as you need, since we allow tracking mileage retroactively. We also add new products to the pre-defined components catalog every week, but there are still many parts missing. You can also add any custom parts by yourself if you want to track all your gear. You can contact us directly at support@probikegarage.com to ask us any further questions, or share your suggestions.
  • Fails to pull in Strava bike components

Really great features, but I thought this would be a nice, easy way to get a handle on all the parts on all my bikes. However, it only pulls in bikes and associated rides, it does not pull in the parts I’ve already built onto all my bikes in Strava. This means I have to spend hours duplicating work in this app if I want to track part maintenance.

A lot of common parts are not listed in the apps. For instance, I can find E-Thirteen and some DT-Swiss wheelsets, but it doesn’t have my SRAM Roam wheels. The components appear to be user generated, which is actually nice because I can can track individual pieces of gear that I’ve moved from bike to bike.

I guess I’ll get to work transferring stuff over manually since this app appears to have a a lot better handle on maintenance. Good thing I’m in quarantine for now...

Thank you so much for your review and all your feedback! Duplicating efforts to register components in ProBikeGarage is not ideal, but Strava doesn't provide a way to read the user's parts. Our recommendation is to manage components only on ProBikeGarage to prevent extra work. We're constantly incrementing the components catalog, but there are a lot of parts missing yet. We have recently added support to DT Swiss wheels, so adding SRAM wheels seemed like a good follow-up. Now you have them available. Anyway, you can define your own components if required. Hope ProBikeGarage helps you handle your bike and components maintenance, and don't hesitate to contact us with any problem or suggestions.
  • Fantastic App

I wish I’d found this years ago!

If you’re meticulous and service your own bikes Strava’s components section is great for mile tracking but nothing further.

Having lunched the chainrings and cassette on the commuter through the chain being on too long, despite regular degreasing/lubrication, I needed a better solution to track variable and independent service intervals of bike components across my bikes, and this app is it.

It’s intuitive, clear, well designed and crucially allows you to set multiple reminders per component using a range of measurements, such as service interval by months/hours/miles, alongside expected end of life by another figure.

    Fantastic app and thoroughly recommend.

  • Great app for tracking parts

By far the best app for tracking the usage of your bike and parts. Easy to swap components in and out and set reminders for different parts (like lubing a chain)
