Reviews of LaFollette Utilities

  • LUB is scamming customers

We moved here in January 2023 and we never had 1 late payment with our old utility company and we lived there for years and LUB charged us almost a $900 deposit just to flip a switch and say there you go! They charged us this amount based off the previous tenants 2 highest utility bills and the previous tenant was a renter we own the place, so different rules apply to us plus with our good standing record with our previous utility company we shouldn’t have even had to pay a deposit much less pay that much! I have never in my life heard of a utility company in Tennessee charging that amount, especially if you on a fixed income no one can afford that! And you have to pay your utility bill on time for two years before they will give it back to you and they’re not really giving it back to you. They apply it to your utility bill! We regret ever moving here because this place is much too expensive to survive on a fixed income!

Me too!! It’s been fine up until a week ago….😩
  • Why?

I don’t understand why you can’t just put the information on the website like a regular county would instead of a stupid app that doesn’t want to work half the time.
