Unfinished, but enjoyable
I like the gameplay, the new restaurants are introduced at a good time to keep the game feeling non-repetitive. However the game requires a restart frequently when I receive a delivery during a level, also the “rate us” popup did not work, in addition ad timer for diamonds does not update, also the entire ui often shifts its screen position making some buttons impossible to press and many important ui elements become blocked by others, plus there are several other bugs I have encountered that I do not feel is necessary for this review. Issues with the main gameplay that I have encountered include: the diamond requirement for kitchen upgrades is burdensome and overbearing especially after the first “world” spongebobs house, ads after every level have forced me to utilize airplane mode, squidward and sandy are basically unattainable, and entering a new “world” like the krusty krab initially decreases coin earnings per level which makes it more valuable to return to the previous “world” to keep gaining coin for kitchen upgrades. Overall the main gameplay loop has massive potential but is currently facing overbearing monetization and in desperate need of polish. Considering the age of the game, I would not recommend unless there are major improvements. (Also Netflix has the same exact game on the AppStore and what’s up with that?)

Annoying bugs!!🙄😡😤
First of all cool game and all but some issues. It is a great game lots of fun but if you watch an ad for the skill crane when the add is over but you need to wait for the cross to appear to go off it the game starts playing and you don’t get to see the skill crane cause your in an ADD!! Secondly I was in level thirteen on the pancake stall and it gave me the tutorial for how to use the boosters and I used one and I went into the level but I count do anything!!! There was no pancake batter or Jane or blueberries or even coffee being made NOTHING no customers even showed up and when I retried the level over and over again I wasted ALL my boosters on a stupid level i can’t even DO!!!! Also every time I retry the level I get ANOTHER stupid ad!!!! Disappointed!!😔🙄😫😡😤

In app purchase didnt work
Fun to play but…in app purchases took the money but the gems never came through. Applied for a refund now. Its almost impossible without purchasing extra gem.

Good game
It's a very good and fun game. But lately I've been getting ads where I cannot exit out of it and have to refresh the app every time I get it. And I've been getting these ads none stop. I don't mind the ads, but having to refresh the app is getting a bit annoying
Fun and entertaining - Too many ads
Really enjoying playing the game but I lost interest after 20 minutes after being bombarded with Ads. Almost every 2nd game cooking pancakes, (so read 2-3 minutes) the app would push a 60 second advertisement you can’t avoid.
I would rather pay $ for the game and have ZERO ads than the insanity of this. What’s the point!

Pretty enjoyable game to pass the time overall
I’m enjoying the game very much but for some reason there’s ads that I can’t exit unless I exit the game itself I really hope someone can fix this issue

This game is almost perfect.
I enjoy the game play for the most part, but I have no idea why no one is talking about how ridiculous the Gem prices are.
I know you don’t have to buy them, however in some cases it’s almost impossible to compete a level with out upgrading. It would literally cost you a $100+ to buy gems to help complete a level. It’s $14 to unlock a city 😳.
20 gems to upgrade items to a 2 star level 😬. That would cost $6, obviously I choose to work for the gems. Hand out is very stingy, only 3 gems after completing the daily food truck. I tried to do task for extra gems outside the app and non seem to work. Is it possible that because I’m Australian the task don’t work?

Fun but disappointing
As an adult who grew up watching SpongeBob from the start and with two kids of my own who enjoy the show and games, I was excited to play this one. Overall it is very fun and entertaining, leaving me wanting more when it takes time to earn gems and upgrade. But this is the problem. I was disappointed when I realized this game is just like all the other mobile games these days…. Geared towards outrageous micro-sales prices and a false sense that if I purchase I can get ahead in the game. This is untrue because the cost for gems and cash is insanely high to actually get anything of value and even then it won’t get you very far.
I understand developers need to make money for a product but this is a bit ridiculous! I miss the days when you could actually play free games to the end with a fair result. Even purchase a game for a one time cost at a fair price. I know developers get money from advertising and many micro sales. How do you sleep at night knowing you’re stealing money from children and young people who don’t have the money-savvy skills that I have acquired to realize any purchases are practically a useless rip-off that will add up to spending way more than buying a fair priced game….
Then again this is corporate culture who’s only goal is money anyways so I can’t say I’m surprised.. just disappointed that I can’t continue this game any longer…

It used to be GREAT, what happened?
When I first got this game, it was a game I’d play non stop. It was reasonable with their ads between games and it felt fair earning your gems. No cash grabs for their players, it was there if you really wanted to get ahead but the game was still doable to achieve a good level. It was an enjoyable game and has been my favourite game for quite a while.
For the last year and more recent updates, they’ve made this game near impossible to progress. I don’t know if it’s because they want to keep the game going for people or if they’re generally just quite greedy in getting you to pay money. On one level, the newest ones, I have upgraded all my kitchen items (trust me, was a task to get enough gems) and usually this would get me past the hard levels. BUT APPARENTLY, now you can’t. The only way to progress quickly is to pay for gems. It’s literally sucking out the fun. Where have the competition leagues gone too? I’m hoping it’s because there’s an update but I’m also thinking it might just get worse.
And also, the more obvious, the ads are insaaaane. I don’t mind the odd one but every level I complete? And even if I want gems, one of my only options is to watch ads for free anyway!
For someone who has played this game for a while, I’m quite disappointed. It helps me be distracted and I enjoy SpongeBob too.

Good
Great game, ideas and graphics. However some different restaurants have over 100 levels and it can get a bit boring when all the upgrades are maxed out before half way.
