…Stand alone, the device serves a purpose, but without wifi it cannot deliver promised features (podcasts, etc) making the saregama device meaningless. Of course, I am unable to reach anyone for help or to return device.
Suggestions:
- surface device mac id for access control
- easier wifi. My device not recognized by app so wifi options never available to me.
App not recognizing that user has active subscription
I have sent an email with my all the device details, i have the same issue like the other 15 users have paid for the subscription yet the app keeps saying i need to subscribe! Tried 20 times did all trouble shoot but same issue persists
Subscription Doesn’t Work
Mismatch in song shown in app and it plays
Golden songs in a horrible app keep your frustrated.
1. The app takes forever to load (I am using the latest iPhone on 100 MBPS WiFi with no other apps giving problems, so please cut through the standard customer service response of ‘please check your internet/phone’. No dear, do a better job next time).
2. Searching for a song/album is at 20th century speed. Remember opening an Internet Explorer page in the 90’s and while it’s opening, you visiting the bathroom, heating your coffee, talking to your neighbor, watering the plants and coming back hoping that the page would have loaded? Yes, if you dig that speed, this is the app for you! (All that is of course hyperbole only to say that the app is REALLY slllllllloooooow).
3. There is no ability to play an entire album. Really. App developers, you really want me separately search and play each individual song of an album? I even wrote to the customer service folks about this, only to get a reply saying, ‘we value your feedback’ without really doing anything about solving the problem. A year has passed since then, however this frustrating inability of the app still persists. Bravo, Team Carvaan! (That’s sarcasm, in case the app developers didn’t get it).
4. Once you select a song, you wait for the next century to dawn before the song starts playing. That’s fast, ain’t it? (Again, sarcasm).
5. Many times, after a song gets over and you search for the next song and you press play, the next song will just not play. No sir, no madam, it just won’t play. Consistently. Every time. Unless of course you re-launch the app - and, who doesn’t love that!
I am a paid subscriber of this app for two years in a row only because of the superb song collection and the high sound quality, which I have to give it to the team is just great (no sarcasm here, I mean it). However, the app misses basic functionalities of playing a given song, playing an entire album, reasonable launch speed, and so on. This app can be summed up in one word - deeply frustrating. Ok fine, that’s two words. But it’s deeply frustrating.
I sincerely hope that the good folks at SaReGaMa Carvaan fix this app without losing its content and sound quality, so that Indian music lovers the world over can continue their love and appreciation for SaReGaMa. Till then, this app would remain a deep frustration.
Piece of garbage
The Bluetooth connection works but not WiFi
Looks like no one tested the application.
Most likely I will go ahead and return the caravan device as most likely the quality of the device is same as the app.

THIS APP IS SO PATHETIC
I have paid the subscription and it’s not letting me play or download songs and keeps asking for subscription every time.
HOW MANY TIMES YOU WANT MY MONEY???
I tried to call the 800 number. No matter what time you call it always says “all circuits busy” ??!!!
Last 10 reviewers out of 12 reviewers have described the same problem so WHY DON’T YOU FIX YOUR APP.
There are so many smart programmers in India. Get one of them to fix the App so it knows when people have already paid the subscription.
I also own Carvaan Premium and it frequently makes screeching sounds.
It’s a great idea of having a library of old songs but both the hardware and the software is garbage. Needs 200% improvement.
I HAVE ALREADY PAID MY SUBSCRIPTION SO MAKE THIS WORK FOR ME AND SO MANY OTHERS WHO HAVE PAID THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY.

Poor quality software
Worst app ever
Can’t control volume of Caravaan 2.0 from my phone, this is just day 2 on my radio and I am super frustrated with this app.
