Broken?
I loved this app while it worked. Excellent and fast transcription powered by Apple’s APIs, delivered on the cheap. Filled the hole created by Apple’s bizarre refusal to transcribe audio files. Unfortunately, it appears to be broken under Sequoia: now, every line it transcribes is deleted before it transcribes the next line. Not very helpful, that. However, Sequoia now offers transcription in its native Voice Memos app, albeit with a clunkier and less useful UI, so as one door closes, another has opened.

Not Good
I paid 1699 for this app to be able to upload audio and have it transcribe, and it was not successful. It does not function at all. The description said, I will be able to upload audio and have it transcribe, but I was not able to, and I wasted my money, and I did not have it to spend, if I would’ve been able to give it zero stars I would’ve, but I gave it one star

Does not work
Program keeps crashing with the following error message.
The operation couldn’t be completed. (kAFAssistantErrorDomain error 203.)
Using on Mac OS 12.5.1.
It does not matter the size of file. Only conclusion is I wasted my money. Too bad there is not trial periiod and no way to contract support.

poor interpretation of voice recordings
quite a disappointment. i paid for the app expecting it to be better than the free alternatives. but instead it is worse making up bizarre incomprehensible stories from the small bits of voice it correctly interprets. basically a waste of money and i am surprise Apple has it in its apps store.
Unlimited Free Transcription
Apple has recently introduced full-power audio transcription into Mac OS, but for some insane reason have neglected to make it possible to transcribe recorded material, regardless of how trivial this would be.
Workarounds are available using very expensive audio-patching applications such as Loopback or Audio Hijack, and there are extremely expensive transcriptions apps, and 'free' transcriptions apps which use subscription-based models or per-word models of pricing which end up being stupidly expensive in the long run.
The solution is obvious: somebody needs to come along and creat an app that uses MacOS's new, built-in transcription services to transcribe files.
That is what this app does. How does it compare to Dragon Dictate? Exactly as well as MacOS's dictation services do, which is to say: not so shabby. More importantly, it offers unlimited transcriptions for free, once you pay the up-front cost of the app, which is less than the cost of a Latte, or a mid-range sandwich at a fast food joint.
The people who give this app low ratings are clearly comparing it to $300 apps. This is a $4 app that provides unlimited transcriptions of relatively high quality. That earns it 5 stars, easy.

Very usefull and a good value (v1.4)
Uses Apple's OS built-in voice-to-text capability. Performs well on voice files I exported from screen-recorded videos I created on my Mac using apple wired headset. Not perfect, but did not expect it to be. Provides me with a good starting text file that I then edit. Saves me lots of time manually transcribing voice files, with no online connection needed and no recurring transcription fees. No problem trsnscribing 20minute-long audio files (my longest so far,) which required about 15min30sec to transcribe, not sure what is the max length of the audio file it will transcribe. You can also transcribe on the fly from voice to text without first ctreating an audio file. Not alot of bells and whistles, but a good basic, and very affordable, transcription tool.

Disappointing
Only transscifbed about half of the audio file in the blurb I cant seen any resquitrictions
If there is a maximum length of audio file it needs to be made clear.
Not worth the money - yesit was only £2.99 old adage you get what you pay for

did not work
Several errors while trying to open the audio and when it does, it only transcribes like 1 minute and freezes. It is a waste of money. So disappointed!
Doesn’t work for me
Just downloaded this seconds ago and so t allow me to access my voice memos to transcribe so useless to me. Waste of £2.99 I can’t get back.
Response from developer
Hi! If you want to transcribe you Voice Memos, you can easily do that by using the share option from the Voice Memos app. You can also save your audio files from the Voice Memos app to the Files app and open them from VoiceExpress.
Not Working
transcribes 2 or 3 words of mp3 files before throwing an error message
