Brilliant piece of kit for songwriting and lyrics

Tried this fantastic App to organise my lyrics in one by place while at work In my spare time and found it great easy to use,very helpful when stuck for that word or another that fits better but all I can say is I highly recommend it give it a go …kbdevotion.

Finding another app

Can’t even get in a good flow before the beat stops because a ad plays rewind the beat get a ad In 20 mins I wrote afew lines for very angery from ad Officially deleteing this app

This app rips you off and fully destroys the creativity that you get at random times..trust me!

Annoying ads in free version, and pro version expensive.

There's no way I'm going to shell out $9 per week for an app, especially if I can't get a sense for how it works using the free version. When you start up the free version, the screen is immediately taken over for ads for games like Monopoly. After a minute, you can make them go away, but they come back. Suffice it to say it doesn't work as smoothly as it seems to in the instructional video.

Price is outrageous

0/5: Update is horrible. The pricing is ridiculous, 8.99 a WEEK! A one time fee to remove adds would have been fine, or better just make it a paid app and stop the shenanigans. It’s a good app when able to use all the functions but nowhere worth the price they are asking. Like, not even remotely on the same planet close. $468 a year….nope.

Update: hi thank you for your response. Listen you have a good app just make it affordable. “a bit more expensive” is not how I see it, it is incredibly overpriced. The New York Times games app, one of the best, most popular and polished apps on the store asks for $1.50 a week. You want SIX (6) times that amount, and still have bugs in the app. There are many people who would be willing to pay a reasonable amount for this, instead you are losing a lot of loyal users. I hope you reconsider the pricing.

Please do not update

This was a wonderful app. It was a bit buggy, yet still usable and wonderful. I suspect that not having an update in half a decade would potentially be a reason for some of the bugs. Then less than a month ago, as of this review (July 20,2024), version 1.3 comes out. It claims “Fantastic improvements”, and “Now you can completely concentrate on writing songs, poetry, rap, etc.” That is not remotely my experience. You cannot concentrate on anything with the deluge of ads that they have newly incorporated. There was already a pay wall, but a decent amount of the features were still available to the standard user. Not anymore. Even switching to dark mode has now been moved behind the paywall. No adds became full of ads and subscription requests. And still some of the old bugs are still present, maybe all of them. I cannot force myself to use the app in its current form enough to verify all the old bugs, but in my limited usage I have already seen some of the old ones. If you have this app and do not have automatic updates them please spare yourself from this update. If you do not have this app at all and are considering it heavily consider if you need another subscription fee in an oceanic tidal wave of subscriptions. If so this might be a decent app.

Used to be my favourite lyric writing app… Then they added a subscription… So many ads it makes it unusable as every time I swap in and out of the app, there’s an ad…

If it was a one-time payment I’d definitely consider it, but unfortunately I’ll be uninstalling.

Garbage

Update 2: This app is garbage after the last update. Can’t even open a song without full-screen ads.

UPDATE: No longer opens in iOS 16. Time to call it a day with this app. ORIG: Earlier today I left the review below with 3 stars. After playing with the app a bit and watching the tutorial, I’m impressed by what a deceptively robust app this is. Since there is no in-app help, you REALLY need to watch the tutorial to see what it can do. And it can do a lot. Besides writing bad lyrics, I also enjoy writing bad haiku (haikus?). The syllable count in the left column keeps you from having to use your fingers to count syllables. And now, a haiku: This app is awesome, get it There’s no time like now What are you waiting for, fool? Initial review: Link to Privacy Policy is not working. How do I know that my multi-million dollar hit lyrics :) are not being siphoned up by this app? Oh right, I don’t.

Love this app and been using it for years but it will no longer let me open my lyrics. I restarted my phone and it lets me do everything but make new lyrics or open old ones. I have like 50 songs that i need to record but i cant because i no longer can access the lyrics. Please lmk if this is something you can fix Update: bro what yall doing this time ☠️. Ive already bought lyric notepad pro why i gotta pay for it again?? This is wild work

Disgraceful

The new update is a disgrace. I have been using this app on and off for 5years and sure it had its flaws but it was the best lyric notepad around however I will be looking for a new app to write poetry on as a direct result of this shameful soulless money grab. This new update is absolutely shambolic!!! Making 99% of the functions now behind this disastrous paywall is terrible. No slant rhyme or rhyme help anymore in the free version, they even locked dark visual mode in settings behind the paywall. To make matters worse they put adds when you enter in and leave every poem, which really stifles the creative process and is just visually jarring. I would have been fine making a one time payment of 10 bucks, or even a monthly subscription at 5 or below and I most likely would have done it. However this soulless, update is charging $8.99 per week?!? Whoever thought of monetizing the app in this fashion has done a terrible job. You are absolute pond scum. 1/5 stars only because it won’t let me give 0 Exporting all data and deleting.

BEST songwriting app ever

I’ve had this app since…like 2018 and I’ve never wanted any other app for songwriting. Around 2021, the app crashed when iPhone updated their iOS and I was so scared I’d lost all my songs, but fortunately they updated it and I was able to get all of them back and have doubled if not tripled the number of songs I’ve written on here. It literally has everything a songwriter could dream of having in an app. Recorder to remember melodies, a place to put lyrics, notes feature where I like to put the chords for the specific song I’m working on if I need to remember, rhyme finder and I’m just skimming the surface with the list of tools all at your finger tips on just this one app! Could not recommend more! Only flaw is the limited features without premium, but I get that they have to make money somehow and honestly after I pay off my student loans; I might consider getting the premium version of this because it’s WORTH it!
