  • Great features, poor functionality

Really love the highlight feature to see rhyme scheme and the ability to add in rhymes to the rhyme dictionary manually… BUT two months into using the app it’s completely cracked, I’ve deleted and re-downloaded the app multiple times but it’s still closing instantly any time I try to open any of my lyrics. I’ve lost quite a bit of work, and would encourage anyone else who uses the app to proceed with caution… and if you do choose to use Lyric would highly advise you paste songs or lyrics or poems in another more reliable app which will not cut your access to all your work randomly because of technical issues.
  • 5 Star app but one big issue

Each time it’s a software update for some devices, it force close app when we try and choose a file from one of the songs we have written, if this bug can get fixed because it happend to me 2 different iOS updates now than the app would be 5 stars but I’m still giving 5 stars 😃 please fix, I have over 50 songs written and I can’t open any of them.
  • Lock Out Glitch (Solution)

After nearly 3 hours of freaking out and nearly having a breakdown over the iOS16 glitch where you can no longer access the app, I’ve found a solution (although this won’t be a solution for everyone). If you download the app on an iMac desktop (not a MacBook laptop), you will be able to access all saved files from the app lyric-wise. You won’t be able to access any of the saved voice recordings, but that’s not much of an issue for me since I can remember what melodies I used when I see the lyrics I wrote down. If you don’t have an iMac, I’d recommend finding someone who does, logging onto your iCloud account, downloading the app, and saving your work so that you won’t lose it again. This app was great and I have literally all my music on it (tons and tons and tons of songs), but it’s time to retire this app and move onto something a little more secure, as the developer has clearly abandoned his work, and there won’t be any updates or fixes that’ll allow us to enter the app from our phones.
  • Keeps Crashing

I’ve used Lyric Notepad for 3 years now and even upgraded to Pro. Great features, helpful and truly lacks nothing for songwriting and organizing. Only one problem, since my iPhone updated software, every time I load one of my saved written songs, it crashes within seconds. I am also unable to export any of my work because the file won’t stay open long enough. Is there a way to fix this bug?
  • Amazing app kind of laggy though

All in all this app actually made me reconsider pursuing a musical career. I was in the fence but it gave me the motivation to actually see what I was thinking highlighted. I’ve been using the free version the whole time and am considering upgrading to the premium for a few extra features. It’s small but sometimes it can lag for a few moments. I’d assume it’s simply because it’s highlighting rhymes so can’t fault it to much.
  • Great App

Don’t let the negative comments affect you this app is great for writing songs and keeping them in one place … make sure your saving ur song constantly as it tells you to do that and export them when ur finished the people who are loosing songs are probably forgetting to save them
  • Great app but needs work

The app is great to keep stuff I write in it but when you’re in a good state of mind and writing something, sometimes the app will freeze and take up to a minute to refresh. Other times it randomly crashes on me. Stuff like this can really mess up the flow of thought when writing something and is a big problem for me. Other than that I appreciate having a place to keep all my lyrics
  • Great!

This app is really good. When ever I right things down on paper, I always lose it. Whenever I have a song lyric idea, I will grab my phone and type it in. The app shows matching words, which are color coordinated. You can also look up rhyming words. The app has a metronome, which works but not is a little annoying to deal with sometimes. You can organize your songs/poems into folders which it useful when you need organization. The folders are a little confusing. One of the options will take you to a helpful video explaining the app.
  • weird and upsetting

Hey, so um when i try to delete a song, it kicks me out of the app then i cant get back to my songs that i've written this app could be better. I’m having to delete the app then re-download it, it’s so annoying to do please fix this bug, then ill give it a 5 bc I don't see anything else that is wrong. Thanks for taking your time to read my review, bye.
  • This app is everything I could ask for!

I write raps on this and it’s just easy, the lyrics get highlife based on rhymes and they have a feature to find words that rhyme or are close to rhyming so you never get stuck. The raps get saved too and you can always come back to them, they let you record voice memos which help remember flows or just to finish the song honestly. Great app, I’m surprised it’s free.
