We LOVE this at bedtime!

Our daughter is in a Spanish immersion school but *I* don’t speak Spanish! This app has made bedtime SOOO much easier for ME since I have zero pronunciation skills in Spanish but I want to honor and continue her work at home!

Great for adults too!

Don’t have any kids. I’m 37 and am learning so many new vocabulary words. Love the stories! Thanks for building this resource!

I hate this app😡😡😠😠

Ok so I may be only eleven years old but I don’t like this app at all it’s not even real Spanish it’s Spain Spanish and when you look at the ad is says you have to finish all the activities before you can go to another activity but when you open the app is says you have to PAY and it’s not fair because that is false advertising so don’t advise you to get this app at all 😠😠😠

Amazing.

This app is so wonderful for my kids.

Religious content in latest story

As a predominantly English-speaking mother raising my child to be bilingual with her father and father's family speaking Spanish, I have loved this app. It is beautiful and engaging. However, in the newest story Coqui I was surprised to see that the story discusses guardian angels. This would be fine if the app developers disclosed in the description that there would be religious content from a Christian perspective, but they don't. Any religious beliefs should be left to a child's parents to introduce/discuss when they are ready, not to an app. Now I am concerned that more religious content may be introduced and will probably be ending our subscription, unfortunately. If an app will contain religious content, please be upfront and label it as such.

Response from developer

Hi BilingualFamilyMama. We are sorry to have disappointed you with the fact that our latest story has a guardian angel on one of the pages. FabuLingua has not, and does not intend to, publish religious book. However, we realize that certain religious elements are part of the everyday Latin American and Spanish culture and vernacular. We work really hard to secure authentic stories from all over Latin America and Spain in order that children may be exposed to its wide diversity of culture and perspectives as they learn the Spanish language. Some of our stories carry depictions of ancient Mayan symbols, because that symbolism matters to that Mexican illustrator. The story you are referring to is by a Chilean author/ illustrator and is about a child who has trouble going to sleep, and her parents offer up various perspectives to convince her she need not be scared of the dark. One of their various perspectives is that a guardian angel will look after her, and there is also mention of a Nightime Fairy as well as vigilant parents that can take on any monster she may imagine. This is common in much of the culture in South America and Spain, where even parents who are not particularly religious will refer to a guardian angel as a way of reassuring children that they are safe at night. Where an illustrator or author choose to reflect relatively common religious and cultural elements, we leave them in because that forms part of their culture. Similarly, when we eventually expand into other languages, our contributing authors and illustrators from Europe, Asia and Africa may occasionally mention other culturally relevant belief systems. We won’t be publishing religious books, but if culturally relevant to the language we are teaching, relevant religious elements may occasionally appear. Thank you again for your comments. We appreciate that you’ve loved FabuLingua, and we value your perspective. Going forward, we will let readers know when a story is released that it may contain culturally relevant religious elements.

Love it

My 7 year loves this app. She already knows some Spanish but she absolutely love this app. It’s part of our bed time ritual. So glad I decided to download.

The Best Spanish App For Little Learners

This app is very high quality. It runs smoothly, contains beautiful artwork and storylines, and teaches Spanish in a way that is natural and fun for kids.

Beautiful stories, engaging app!

My five year old daughter is totally in love with this app. She loves to “do Spanish stories” as much as I will allow her to. The stories are beautiful and the narrator has a soothing voice. She reads a few words in Spanish and then translates to English. Users are also able to record themselves reading the stories so they can hear their own pronunciation. Highly recommend.
