The explorers App

It is a wonderful app and I enjoyed using it and the subscription price is not too bad unlike other apps I know that charge 50 -90 dollars. The pictures are beautiful and breathtaking in the movies and videos. I love it.

Hi Tishamaria19, thank you so much for your feedback and support. It’s really great to know you’re enjoying the app. See you soon on The Explorers!

Potential

Could be a really great app. But it’s SUPER buggy. Hard to even use sometimes.

Don’t bother ... looked exciting but ain’t

Description sounds exciting application but in reality just seems like a platform to deliver “Premium content” for which a subscription is required.

Deleted shortly after installing... not worth bothering with. They didn’t even have privacy policy in English!!! T&Cs rambled on for ages. Don’t bother.

Hi 2BGR8, we are sorry that you were not satisfied with our content. The major part of our platform is however free of charge and without advertising. Premium content is here to support our commitment and the actions of The Explorers Foundation to protect biodiversity. The privacy policy was indeed in French due to a bug, our privacy policy is now in your given app language. We really hope that our efforts and those of the community will make you change your mind in the future.

Just slow

I really like the app and the features and I could see myself using it regularly but unfortunately it’s a really slow app. It takes ages just to publish something (not including the verifying of the image as I really like that) and often things just disappear, if that be a picture or a list. It just becomes frustrating to manage but I just hope it gets a patch update so it runs smoother and is therefore more enjoyable.

Another subscription

While I of course understand that making these videos costs a lot, I think it would have been simpler for everyone to just charge one off for each series, instead of asking us to commit to yet another subscription.

Best app? Doesn’t open.

I was excited to have this on Apple TV. Open it up, welcome screen sits for an hour. Deleted. Thanks anyway.

Hello TheZenMonkey, we are very sorry to read this! We have a lot of very satisfied users. Let us help, email us at contact@theexplorers.com

Needs work

App is good concept but.....

It is slow to load
Awkward to navigate (loading photos is a pain - one at a time and then you have to navigate all the way back to load next one)
Buggy (loading, reviewing, tagging)
Freezes/locks
Photos dont load (tried many many times)
I am likely to get too bored with it to carry on using it

Almost There

Has potential to be a great photography community. However, the app is simply too slow. Loading a single photo is a gamble. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. Make the app more responsive, and you’ve got it.

Ugh

Pinwheel leading to slow loading

Another Subscription Trap

A great concept nullified by the required subscription for videos > 1 min. Quel dommage!

Response from developer

Hi Spacegeek, We understand your point. Notwithstanding, our documentaries movies are only available through a subscription. A percentage of every single subscription is donated to biodiversity preservation projects that we support - every user chooses which action he/she wants to support.
