I think this app has helped me a lot to learn Hangeul, I just wished that I could've spent more than five minutes a day as I'm quite a slow learner, but using other apps along as scripts has helped me massively to Hangeul. I recommend!

This is an amazing app for beginners! It offers many different languages and it’s quite efficient. I dislike how your time learning on this app is limited.
Great for the content you can access
The app works well to help you write and read, however it’s difficult to navigate. I’ve completed all Chinese hanzi radicals, and there doesn’t seem to be a way to access any further characters, which is a shame, since there are thousands of characters in Chinese that are important to learn. I hope they add more content soon, or make it easier to find the rest of the content if it’s already there.

has potential
scripts would be great, but it’s hard to get through any character because it’s constantly penalizing me for not writing a character the EXACT way it expects. i’ll know the characters and how to write them, but the app consistently treats it as incorrect, even down to writing something as simple as a vertical line. it makes it anxiety-inducing because no matter what, you’re going to get it wrong. i’m honestly surprised when it DOESN’T treat me as wrong somehow. the devs need to improve this, and it’ll be great. i’ll wait for when they do because with how persistent it is i’d imagine it’s a known flaw. i’ll definitely use this app a lot once it’s fixed.

Useful, not optimised for newer iPhones
I’ve found this extremely useful trying to learn Chinese script, but the app’s display size is too large for my regular iPhone 13.

Teaches phonics ineffectively
Learning Russian Cyrillic.
The fields of teaching and linguistics have already established the most effective ways to teach phonics and alphabet systems, but the developers of this app don’t know that.
The most important thing to drill is the sound of the letter first, then next most important is the name. It would be far more helpful if the fricatives would have the audio of the phoneme (ex. In English, “mmm” instead of “em”/letter name of M) rather than the name of the letter. Later on, this sets up students for success by readying them to blend sounds when reading first words.
The use of anchor words is not important, and in fact, it’s a distracting and adds visual clutter.
It’s a nice gesture to want to encourage by saying we’ve learned 1 anchor word per letter by this is simply not the case: these words are have no audio recording and they’re not translated so they’re completely meaningless.
I will need to finish learning the alphabet elsewhere. Unfortunately, this app is pretty but it simply didn’t teach me what I needed.
