  • Unable to login

I have to say, my experience has been extremely disappointing due to the login issues I've encountered. From the very first attempt, I was unable to log in. Every time I try, I am met with an error message saying, "There was a server error. Please try again."

I have tried resetting my password multiple times, ensuring that my internet connection is stable, and even reinstalled the app, but nothing seems to work..

Given the high expectations I had for this app, this login issue is incredibly frustrating. It's disheartening to see an app with so much potential rendered unusable due to such a fundamental problem. I hope the developers address this issue promptly because, as it stands, the app is unusable for me.

  • Issues as others and now no notifications.

Have experienced the same issues as other users (logged out, reset pins etc, lagging of approved drives showing on the dashboard) and now once my learner driver submits a drive, there are no more notifications to inform me of this - and the same when I eventually approve a drive. This is despite all notifications being turned on.

Clearly the lastest iOS changes and the lack of acceptance of feedback from the developers has affected this app.

    Please address these issue.

  • Not functional

In order to have your hours logged you need to invite a supervising driver to the account to verify every session. To do that you need to register them with a VicRoads account. I was able to create an account for myself, no problem, but when I tried adding my mum’s details, the VicRoads app and website both rejected the information I entered, with no explanation or ability to fix this system issue that is occurring on VicRoads’ end. She is the only supervising driver I have access to so I can’t use the app. Ridiculous and not even functional for public usage.

  • VicRoads- please fix this!

Poor quality app- regularly logs me out at random frequency, as other reviewers have observed. Requires logging in each time but doesn’t integrate provide URL to match with correct password in from my configured password manager. Also asks to create and confirm a new PIN on every login.

Other (less frequent and annoying) issues include taking ages to load when loading to start a drive in poor coverage areas, and creating duplicate drives at times. The remaining functionality works well but the user experience is so seriously let down by the login issues mean this is a 1 star for me.

I would never choose to use this app except it’s required to supervise my son’s driving. VicRoads - if you’re going to require people to use this, please spend the money to make it usable!

  • Don’t even waste your time with this app

I honestly thought this App would be better, but it isn’t. Do not waste your time I had my logbook with all my hours on it and I thought the app would be easier than filling out the book, so I went and got my hours transferred to the app, and I can no longer use my book as they ripped a page out and says do not continue this book, so I got my hours transferred to the app. It was good for a few days and then it logs me out. It won’t let me back into my account. I can’t retrieve my account back so now I’ve lost all my hours and I don’t know how I’m going to get my ps in the future.

  • log in bug is a killer

over the year and a half that i’ve had the app i’ve probably missed out on at least 15 hours of driving from the log in bug, there’s different severities too, sometimes it just logs you out and u log back in not a huge deal but majority inconvenient, other times it makes you reset your password which is so annoying, and sometimes u go to log in and it asks you to create a pin and comes up with an error no matter how many times u put it in, i’ve tried waiting, deleting and redownloading the app, changing my password, nothing works, i’ve had this problem in the past but i’m going through it pretty bad now, over 1 week of not being able to log in, the developers need to fix this coz from a government app that is required for people to get their license you’d think it’d be more of a priority

  • D-200 error, no support and privacy concern

I have had a D-200 error for months and no support from Vic Roads which is pathetic.
On top of that I like thousands of others are having login issues. We are looking at this from the wrong perspective, it’s not annoying, it’s actually a privacy concern. We are being asked to create over and over new number passwords. If the system is not holding this and they refer to fixit are we not concerned there has been a hack, or our passwords are being stored incorrectly.
This is absolutely a privacy concern and should be looked at as a priority for risk of hacking and the federal government should be issuing fines.

  • FIX THE LOG IN ISSUE!!!

Thoroughly sick of having to re-log in over and over and over again after setting up Face ID and a PIN. I’ve never had the chance to actually use the PIN because I’m never logged in long enough to use it!!! The app itself is fine. Straight forward and simple enough to use….but just fix the log in problem!!! I’ve got 3 kids and 6 consecutive years of using this app and I’m only into year number 2 and it’s already giving me grey hair. I reckon I’ll be white like Santa by year 6.

  • So many bugs and problems

As so many of these other reviews state, the login/log out bug is outrageous. Having to log in and make a new app passcode would be tolerable if it was after 12 months or so, but after 30 minutes? Ridiculous. I have also been subjected to an even more annoying bug, where when you select the done button at the bottom of the page after you have stoped the timer, it brings up a error stating that the date needs to be set by “your network”, when my phones date and time is set to automatic. After clicking the okay option, and clicking the done button again, the message will pop up again, easily 6 times, every time, then it will go through fine. It makes me scared that I will lose my time.

Another thing I don’t like is how the app tracks your location, and the blue icon comes up notifying you, but no feedback is given from the app about this. I would like to see a “You drove xyz KM today” or show a line on a map of where.

As others have mentioned, a pause button would make life so much easier for when you are stopping, for 15 minutes or so, and currently have to enter in all the information, wait through the date and time bug, before your instructor comes back to the car, and you have to log in again before you can start the clock… 120 hours of this is unacceptable from this organisation. Please developers, just improve this app. Thousands of people are essentially forced to use it, and it means a lot to all of them that it works well, and is tolerable.

  • Been pretty good over the 2 years

Clocked up 240 hours, have had the issues such as logging out and having to reset the numerical pin but that probably happened once a month, not a big deal. Have also had the issue with logging drives and time being off but you just turn your internet and it works. Needs work but it’s a solid app, miles better than using a logbook
