Scam app
When you download the app they say they give you 1 week trial and after you have to pay 40 pounds per year. Once you open the app they ask you to upload 10 photos and the purpose for doing that is to get your avatars included in this one week trial. They wasted my time because at the end of the upload they asked for more money to give me the avatars. What's the trial week for if you ask me for money? Big fail!
I do not recommend this app!
Great feature. Pay wall.
I didn’t mind too much because it’s good but think you should be told what isn’t included in the subscription
Not worth the money
Waste of money.
Free trial you have to pay for avatars.
No surprise it’s by Prisma under a different name. This has been reported to the Apple Store and if it isn’t remedied by them then there will be contact made to the trading standards commission.
Horrible app that make you look distorted and creepy
Ai avatars
Response from developer
Hello! So sorry that you didn't like the processing results :( We cannot fully control the work of AI so the final photos may contain inaccuracies. We warn users about this risk before creating avatars. If you decide to give Magic Avatars another try, here are some tips that will help you get better results. We recommend uploading 20 selfies that follow these conditions: - don’t have a strong retouch and bright makeup. Although, if you feel like adding a slight retouch, you can try Magic Retouch in the app :) - your face can be seen clearly from various angles and you’re making different facial expressions - photos are from several locations or on different backgrounds Thanks again for sharing your impressions! 🤍
Don’t waste money on magic avatars
However, the paid for AI produced ‘magic avatars’ were honestly awful. My eyes were different shapes on different parts of my face. Never ventured correctly with the rest of the bodies. The whole things didn’t line up with the photos they created.
I wish I could attach a photo so you can see yourself before you pay too.
I will keep the app for the free editing features as they’re great and I can’t fault them.
However, I feel bad about spending £3.50 on 50 photos (all of which are unusable due to the face not being centred correctly)
I assume it’s to do with the photos that were selected to be created, but I followed their steps and they still turned out awful.
Not worth it at the current price point
No way to add new photoset for magic avatars
Currently it’s telling me the magic avatar service is unavailable anyway, so I’m unable to really play around with anything at the moment. Editing individual photos is all I can do now, but that’s something that hundreds of other apps can do. I’m probably going to cancel my subscription before it kicks in unless I can generate new avatars from a different photo set.
