I loved The Life of Repton, would be amazing to see some of those brought into the future!

After collecting the last diamond and earth pieces, the skull does not disappear !!! Very frustrating.

Played it on the bbc computer in the 90s. It was very hard and any mistake could render the game impossible to complete.
This iOS game has it all.
Nice save/load game feature.

This is a fun game, and one of my first gaming experiences as a child. It can be challenging and frustrating, but also rewarding.
Its intuitive enough that my 3 year old son is able to both play and enjoy it! My daughter wants to know why there isn't a girl Repton though ;-)

Repton 2 is one of the most popular Repton games, and picking up earth is a carefully considered game feature introduced by the game's creator Tim Tyler. While keeping faithful to the much-loved original Repton 2 gameplay, the software has already been very significantly adapted for casual use in several important respects: 1) the game progress can be saved/loaded at any location (this is much more useful than a simple 'undo' because the players can effectively choose to undo a few key moves or a whole level, etc.), 2) zoomable maps are immediately viewable for all levels, 3) all map areas including unvisited sections are instantly viewable, 4) visiting the starport shows the status of each level (plus maps when a scenario is nearing completion), 5) handy infopoints are included in key areas, 6) there are several Immortal Repton options available for selection under 'Settings', 7) we have now also added Custom Repton options - again selectable from 'Settings'. So please check out the new Immortal Repton and Custom Repton facilities. Please email us regarding any requests that you have for a "new Repton game"; we will be pleased to consider your ideas, but a public review of Repton 2 is not the right place for off-topic discussions about new Repton games. Superior has sold about 40,000 copies of Repton 2 (across different formats) and nobody has ever asked before for the earth-collection feature to be removed. While we don't want to change the well-loved current Repton 2 gameplaying experience, we have now included this option (plus the choice of killing all the monsters or not) to make the game easier for you. The development team has put in a very considerable amount of dedication, time and careful hard work into creating this software. We have taken time to adapt Repton 2 in line with your wishes, so we would be grateful if you would now upgrade your rating accordingly, which seems unfairly low in view of all of the modifications that have been made.
