Glitchy

Slightly better than before but it’s so buggy. Messages disappear and then appear again days later. It keeps asking me to start conversations with people I’m already talking to. Are my messages being delivered? Even when they do they don’t always get delivered in full and the same goes for messages I’ve received. Still very painful.

Quite innovative

People there are not always my type but I appreciate the idea of the app making us more active and going to actual events instead of focusing on swiping and messaging

This app has so many bugs

I love the collection of members and the variety of events you get to attend BUT the app is PAINFUL to use. When texting people only half of your message gets sent across and then you write it again and then suddenly the rest gets sent and in the end you sent it twice, which is so annoying. The messaging feature has to be improved because it’s not fun at all. And the preferences filters don’t work at all. The app doesn’t filter people.

Not enough users

After having a frustrating time setting up my profile, I realized this app isn’t for anyone in Canada. There just aren’t enough users. I came across about 2 or 3 people in the Toronto area and it kept pinging me with likes from England.

Great app

It’s a great app really love the concept I think it’s definitely worth it. It’s a bit tricky to register but it’s worth it once you are in.

Flawed and fake reviews

Ridiculously long application process to make you think it’s exclusive, while in reality they will accept you no matter what you put down (figuratively speaking). Extremely difficult to navigate as there are no guides. You can’t access let alone see what you will be paying £75 a month for. I genuinely thought that my app was bugging as theres was absolutely nothing on it besides the owners’ own event at one of Londons “hottest locations” (which you can’t book without paying the monthly fee). Something tells me that it will have to be descaled to be hosted in someone’s back garden as it shows that only 9 people are interested in the event. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and decided to read the reviews- maybe I’ve missed something. Turns out that this is exactly what the brains behind the operation intended. While I respect the need to artificially create reviews for (what I thought was) a start up, I at least expected a little bit more effort than using keyboard auto suggestion to write fake five star reviews. Although reading them kept me entertained for a solid minute, any respect for the hustle is gone when you’re lazy. Do send me an update though when this concept resembles even a 1/10 of what a 1+ year old app should be by now. Or hire me, I think you’ll find a slight reallocation of funds to benefit you better in the long term than any investment in social media ads ever would. Stay strong

Thank you for your feedback! We take our member selection process very seriously to ensure a high-calibre community. Therefore the application process can be lengthy for some. All new users will have a guide on the functionalities when they first use the app. You were part of founding membership 4 months ago which allowed you to use the basic features of the app such as liking, getting matched and chatting. The £75 membership was only for advanced features such as reversing a like, rematching an expired match etc. Now we have adjusted our membership to £26.49. All our events and experiences are original. We usually have hundreds of members from the app attending. Only approved members can access our app. We believe many reviews may not come from our members. Members can always contact our membership team (membership@victoriatheapp.com) for any feedback and complaints. We think you misunderstood how the app functioned and had a bad experience—our app centres around curated experiences. We hope you get to experience one of our events and meet high-calibre members. Great concept , execution could do with more work

The concept sounded very good, I was excited to give it a go. but they simply offer no real value for the price they’re asking for (yet?) I see the same people on rotation and there doesn’t seem to be much else going on .I think at this stage the app should be offering a free trial at the very least (which it doesn’t without recommending a friend ) or a reduced full membership for the ‘founding members’ as they call it .£75 per month is a bit ridiculous - in general but especially seeing as the app simply doesn’t feel ‘ready’ to me.

Bumble already offers similar features for free -dating /business/friendship connections .minus the events- which is what I was mostly intrigued about but there’s not much going on there either. I understand the current conditions but maybe substitute for zoom events/talks instead?

I’m struggling to find a reason to leave this on my phone .

This app is lame crap

I don’t even want to go through their “review process”. Sounds like a bunch of losers who need to need keep a gimmick going. The layout and functionality is so ghetto it’s actually laughable they think anyone worth anything would want to join. I want me account deleted immediately!

Looks like a data collector

This app requires more data than any other out there. Even my bank didn’t ask for do much identifiable personal information! It’s definitely not GDPR safe and there’s no way to delete the data once it’s there.

Regarding the features... I couldn’t get to any because I couldn’t get through registration. After all mandatory steps the app got stuck at trying to upload images and never recovered.

shame

the app looks great but it’s a shame it’s buggy and not working. creating my profile was difficult as the text and controls shifted half out of view constantly. i am unable to upload photos because the app freezes when trying to, and once the photo is chosen it doesn’t show up on the app
