1. Radio station logo: Displays the Internet radio station logo, if available, in Playing and Queue scenes. (In-App Purchase required to play playlists containing Internet radio station URLs.)
2. New iPad UI mode: In addition to the existing iPad UI modes, an "Album Cover View" mode has been added to always display the cover art in a larger size when the iPad is in landscape mode.
3. A few bugs were fixed.
4. yaMPC 1.8 supports iOS/iPadOS 15, 16 and 17. iOS/iPadOS 14 is no longer supported.

At Playing screen, yaMPC will search for cover art in MusicBrainz in the following cases:
1. when playing Internet radio and the radio station returns the artist and song title being played
2. when the cover art cannot be retrieved when playing a music file in the "music directory" of MPD.
If yaMPC can find the cover art in MusicBrainz, it will be displayed on the Playing screen.
In the case of 2. above, the retrieved cover art can be saved in the local cache of yaMPC.

- Downloads cover-arts directly from MPD without using HTTP. MPD 0.21 or later is required. Filename for cover-art must be 'cover.jpg'. (Player Settings -> MPD/URL -> MPD 0.21 or later)
- The default cover art slowly blinks during playback
- Long-pressing an album in the Albums view to show the play menu
- Play a song and automatically return to the home view of your choice - Playing or Albums. (Settings -> Options -> Auto-return, iPad only)

FREE Features:
- Able to register multiple MPD Servers and switch them to control.
- Scan button auto-detects MPD 0.20 or later versions (need to enable Zeroconf), Volumio or MoOde
- Easy Cover-Arts settings for MPD 0.21 or later versions, Volumio or MoOde.
- Queue scene: lists songs in the Queue (or the Current Playlist), plays a song by tapping. Allows you to edit and clear queue.
- Queue and Play scenes: You can play songs and pause, play next song, previous song, play randomly or repeatedly. Fast forward and rewind with buttons or slide bar. Controlling volume.
- Albums scene: lists albums with cover-arts, album titles and album artists. Filter albums by album title and/or album artists.
