Crap app don’t install
Appears to be unauthorized addin for Snapchat not actually a standalone as it implies it makes you go through a bunch of hoops, pun very much intended and you get into it not only is it not very intuitive whatsoever but if you don’t use Snapchat it’s worthless and of course it doesn’t tell you that which any reputable or honest company would tell you upfront and make sure that you have your Snapchat login as part of the sign-up process
I’m not gonna use Snapchat so just another dishonest way this company fraudulently takes money from you
after looking online and seeing complaints it looks like there are a lot of underage Snapchat users they get pulled into hoop that is considered illegal content so this app is actually facilitating exploitation of children and they know it. Next complaint is not to apple that also knows they are doing this…

Good idea, Terrible execution
Most, if not all, profiles are fake. There is constant child pornography being advertised. Constant profiles just selling sex, scamming, or attempting to get you to sign up to a sex website. This app is really annoying on so many levels. The layout is very clunky, and not at all, well rounded. It is an obvious cash grab from the development team that does not care how this app is ran nor the security being placed on the app.
The app is falsely advertised as you are going to be “making friends“, but really all you are meeting is fake profiles of girls who are really just some random Asian or African guy (not even trying to sound racist, just really who it is) attempting to get money from you. The app has a long way to go to earn any respect from any of its customers.
Being a developer myself, I feel slightly disrespected by even giving this app a chance.

Won’t load
It’s stuck in the loading screen and I’ve tried pretty much everything
Good, but could be better
I’ve been on Hoop since summer of 2020, and i’ve met quite a few people on there including my best friend of over a year. The app is simple yet effective for those that choose people based on appearance or outfits, yet it has one major flaw. Please add an update where you can choose the age range of people that can add you or people that show up on your feed. I am 17 soon turning 18, and I am sick and tired of seeing 13-16 year olds in my feed. I purposely decide to use other apps so that I can change the age range to just 17 (while i’m on the under 18s version). Yes I could just skip or decline them, which I do, but it would be a lot simpler if they didn’t show up in my feed at all.

Not good
It is only showing me girls
Really bad design
The design of this app is so bad! When uploading photos you can’t even adjust the fit of your photo, so you’re left with a zoomed up bad quality pic! Also, when I made my account, the second it was time for me to start swiping through profiles it said I was already out of matches????? I ran out of matches before I even started using this dumb app. Waste of time, and not worth it!

Good at first..
This app was great when I first started using it 2 years ago. Actually I met my most memorable “girlfriend” on there. She wound up cheating later but that’s a different story 😁 anyways, even before and shortly after that, hoop continued to work fine, no bots, showed new people mostly in my state and diamonds were very easy to get (without paying)
Because of a few personal experiences that I will
Not disclose, I decide to take a year off from that sort of thing and focus more on other sorts of fun and finances instead. I come back to hoop after a year, only to find it spammed out with s*x bots and catphishers. Out of 50 profiles maybe 1-5 are actual people??? Maybe it’s the people using hoop, but I tend to think ownership changed or something happened where the people running the app just don’t care and let it go downhill. Hope this changes soon :/

This App is Ridden With Scammers, Sextortionists, and Bots.
I spent about 5 days on here when eventually I added someone who wanted to hook up. We “exchanged” and now they’re using my pictures as blackmail in an attempt to extort me for money. So now I’m stuck in a horrible situation with virtually no way out. Also, most of my requests during the first few days were from bots either advertising another dating site or just straight up malware. I’m not even sure why the report button exists if these problems are still so prevalent. I think I only made one legitimate friend through this app, most of the rest just add you and never actually bother to talk. This is probably due in part to the fact that the app incentivizes adding an immense number of people, which in turn makes it harder to form meaningful connections because your attention has to be split between all of them. If you want to make friends, go to a bar, school, or the workplace.

Ok app
It’s a app that is a good idea and it’s desperate for a lot of people but I was hit by females that where asking for money and I was hit by bots trying to ask for money, asking for nudes and that’s not cool to me. The purpose of the app was for friends and I got horny females asking for money now that’s not cool. Like how do you fix that? 5 out of star idea app. I wish I could create a app, but it’s a 3 for me because the design is cool and making friends is cool but I was hit by so many weird people and I’m getting so many weird messages that it just spoils the app, the people are weird and I guess this was fun at a time or maybe it’s just me as a person and I’m getting hit with bo friends. It’s cool to meet people online but it’s more natural in person. I’m sorry but this app is just, yeah. Waste of my time.

How I met my boyfriend off hoop!
I would say in about late January I had received a request from a boy so I finally added him back on my Snapchat and we just got to talking and soon enough we started to really like each other. The sad part was we lived 400 miles away. But on March 26th, 2020 he asked me to be his girlfriend. With covid booming at the time it really took us a long time to meet so August 25th was our first time meeting. Ever since then we have been making drives, half way, and even train rides. Been going on 1 1/2 years now and if I would have never seen this app advertised, I probably would have never met my future husband. And yes I can safely say that because I’m sneaky and found a ring! Thanks hoop for helping me literally find the love of my life!
