Update ruined it
They removed the bio, so finding people is purely biased in looks now. Also, I’m stuck with the same loop of people that I’ve already said no to. Wink is better.
App not working
I can’t use the app, I have used my Snapchat details, logged in and it just says “no more new friends to discover, come back later” and the bottons the app showed me e.g (Accept, decline button, super like e.t.c) all of that is blacked out and I cannot see anything accept that message. I have tried deleting, checked FAQ, restarting phone, updating phone, and when I click contact it says “something went wrong”

Glitched Screen
So I had added hoop when it was was popular on tik tok and have been using it ever since. There have been a couple issues regarding the app itself during this period, one of them being that when I go to look at a picture on a profile it glitches and doesn’t show me the picture or is just blank. Another issue ishtar recently I was just flipping through and it said no more profiles to be viewed. I went back the next day and it has had the same screen for about 2 weeks now. I have tried restarting the app a couple times now and still shows the same screen. I’m not completely sure if it is just mine or if it has been and issue for others. So there are just a couple bugs and issues other than that the app has been working perfectly and is a good app to meet new people.

I like it but needs some work
So I like the setup of the app and the features but I do not like how: 1. It won’t let you see new people after you “hearted them” and also you only get to ask a certain number of people while you’re swiping for their Snapchat unless you buy or obtain more diamonds. 2. There needs to be a cracking down on the whole inappropriate profile picture situation and also the weird people trying to scam people looking for sugar babies or sugar mommies and daddies. 3. I feel like the developers need to add a chat feature so you don’t waste your time and adding weird people who aren’t looking for just friendship,and also a interests section to match up with similar minded people. And last but if not least a way to fix the swiping system.

Nothing but scammers and porn
I’ve been using Hoop for a week now. I joined because I was hoping to meet people and make friends, like advertised in the title. First got on and it looked good, requested a few people’s Snap accounts and then got some requests myself. Gave them my Snap and they added me immediately. It started out decently enough, but then they soon started to deviate sharply from normal conversation, asking me if I liked nudity and then sending me a link to their porn site. Something similar happened with literally every single person who requested my Snap and even with all the people who I requested. Not a single person wanted to have a conversation, they just sent me nudes, asked if I wanted to be their sugar baby, or sent me suspicious porn links. This is really out of control, there should be a way to monitor this stuff and reduce the amount of spammers. I for one am giving up.

Starting using the app but now I realise too many catfishes and people who don’t look their age some photos kept coming up on other people’s profiles just something u guys could look into because great app just needs a bit more security and could there be a way where u could preference someone at a certain location in your country like a state

Too many bots
This app was super fun and I enjoyed going on it, which I went on the app everyday. I met a lot of cool people with this app at first, but having the app for awhile I just started getting requests from bots. A bit here and there doesn’t hurt, but it’s to the point where I only get bots now. I don’t even go on the app because it feels like even though I use my diamonds I doesn’t feel like I get anything back. I accumulated over 1,000 adds from this app from real accounts and now it’s just bots. Also, you guys took away the bios which kinda takes away from the fun of reading them and getting a feel for the person. Maybe I just need to make a new one or something, but please figure out how to get rid of these bots or at least some of them.

Too many horny girls
Look don’t get me wrong the app is great and you have a great potential to make several friends but most of the “friends” that you meet on here are horny girls requesting your snap then asking for sex or nudes. i’m not sure if they’re bots but a lot of them also look wayyy older than what their age says which is very concerning. If that isn’t bad enough, whenever they request and I click “decline and block” most of them seem to have multiple accounts and sometimes even different names but same profile pictures. i’m not sure if women using the app have this same problem as me but I find it very frustrating and annoying having to try and sort the horny girls over the genuinely nice ones. if there is a way to filter them or maybe enhance human verification that would be appreciated

Pretty good
Honestly didn’t have high hopes for this app but it’s straight forward and serves its purpose. I’ve met some pretty chill people on here and I haven't seen any creeps or predators after using this for about a month so that’s a plus. Edit: So as soon as I turned eighteen I was only shown profiles who are listed as 17-21 which I liked cause it was kind of difficult to find people my own age before and I’m not here to make friends 14 year olds (no offense to any 14yos). The downside though is that there are a lot more suspicious people in 18+ that are clearly older than the intended age range for this app. I got someone asking me to be her sugar baby within the first day I was switched lol. Other than that, like I said, it’s a decent app but that’s something to be cognizant of.

An alright app but yikes
So i got this app because of the pandemic and it became hard to make new friends, but it didn't go exactly as planned. The format for the app reminded me so much of a dating app, which wasn't the best, but thats is what it is. My biggest problem is that there are a lot of people on here that look like normal people my age that would be very fun, however they are older people looking to scam people out of their money. I have gotten several requests from people who are "sugar daddies" who then ask people to send them upwards of $50. Luckily I was aware that that is a scam, but im sure there are many people out there who don't know better. I'm not sure if that could be fixed or if maybe there could be something about it on the app, but I would appreciate that for the safety of others
