It was all going so well…..

I have had my machine and app for several months and have been loving it until yesterday. Made a coffee for a friend, using one of my recipes, then as I went to brew mine, a message came up saying “you have not yet saved any recipes” followed by a long period of the spinner, then “Something went wrong” - endless spinner when I clicked OK. App has not worked since - one message came up about an invalid url (? I thought the app simply connected with my machine unless updating itself or the machine?) - but otherwise endless spinner. The machine itself is working though trying to connect with the app does lead to me needing to switch off and on frequently to get it to start, but I can’t access my recipes which give me a full mug rather than the half a mug I get from a “long” standard setting. Not happy as the machine is not cheap!

Went to the website - absolutely useless, seems geared to sales but not support (good support encourages sales folks!). The AI chat is anything but intelligent - kept sending me to the app to get help for a non-working app. Also I discovered there is no facility to change one’s password, personal details etc - when you click on your account it just loops back to your home page. Not impressed as I was hop8ngbto set up an auto-generated secure pw while on the website.

Keeps dropping into Eco Mode

Connecting my iPhone to the machine and editing the recipes is ok. Takes a little while to work out how the renaming and copying protocols logic works. A bit unintuitive, but all ok eventually.

However!!

If I edit the recipes and other things on the iPhone when I come to sync to the machine it always seems to have disconnected because it has dropped into Eco Mode. The app should be able to wake it up surely? I can see the name of my machine and even edit some settings, but still it says ‘unconnected’ when I try to move edited recipies onto the machine.

I have to wander over to it and wake it up by turning the dial on the front. Then I can reconnect again.

This is a big pain. I hope it can be addressed?

Hi Keith, I've spoken to our service team regarding this and they'd like to recommend turning off the ECO mode to suit your needs. Here's how you can do it: 1. Go to settings. 2. Select ECO Mode. 3. Scroll the dial to the left and select "OFF". As for machine connectivity, there is a circle dot on the main LCD screen that indicated connected to the app. This should help with knowing when the machine is connected to the app or not. Not as good as it could be

I think the people who design this are coffee pros as the app is not overly friendly to a beginner coffee drinker. By that I mean the wife when out orders a larger coffee as in an americano or a black in the U.K. There is a lot of liquid in the cup but the app doesn’t easily show how to recreate this and doesn’t have recipes front and Center to do this. Most recipes we have tried have very little in the cup. We found one buried away that uses 90g of water but we would appreciate the coffee pros serving up some recipes that fill a cup a little more. We’d appreciate their expertise. Apart from that the app is good as is the machine. If the above was implemented I’d give 5 stars but until then it’s 4 as it’s too confusing and a right slog to find how to brew a larger coffee. Thanks for all your efforts.

Has made my Mornings better 1,000%

After getting my Morning Machine, the Morning app has given me coffee superpowers 🦹‍♂️. I now have confidence to try coffee from roasters all around the world, and the app allows me to use the roasters’ recipes to brew. On the weekends, I play around with the settings to make my own recipes, and it’s super convenient thanks to the app! Look forward to continued updates of the app! 💪

Recipe Updates are Cool

I love how the app lets me find the recipes for new coffees I buy and send them to the machine. The camera search for scanning coffee boxes works pretty well, not perfect, but I always find what I need by using the camera or typing.

Can’t login

It says temporary password has expired and must be reset by the administrator. I emailed them and no answer. So after buying an expensive coffee machine where mobile app should bring a lot of value cannot use it properly.

App keeps freezing at brew stage.

As above. If I go to open the app to make a fresh brew after waking the machine up, the app is stuck at the brew stage from the previous use. The cancel button does not work. The only way to cure it is to delete and reinstall. Not impressed!

The app has all your needs but one essential feature

Minor issue is why cant the eco mode be turned off.. if i want to have a morning cup of coffee, ill leave the new capsule in machine and a cup ready at night .. Wake up the next morning turn my alarm off and brew my coffee but i get a msg that says that i have to touch the machine in order to deactivate the eco mode .. that makes no sense to use the app all together for brewing might as well just use the coffee machine by physically being next to it
