In this version we have added an option whereby citizens are being if they did not have any translations enabled during an active chat, but did choose a non-Dutch preferred language. As a result, citizens are informed that the chat can be translated. We have also implemented various optimizations that make the app more stable and secure.

In this version, we have added an option that allows people to indicate whether they can talk when they want to communicate with 112. Moreover, a search bar has been added for searching a language or a country code. Additionally, updates have been added regarding security and stability.

In this version we have added the option to provide feedback about the 112NL app. Additionally, we have reorganized the Settings screen to make it easier to navigate. The call screen has been adjusted to show the disciplines more clearly. Finally, we have fixed a few bugs to improve the stability of the app.

In this version, we have implemented improvements that are valuable for people with communication disabilities in hearing or speaking, and people that have language-barriers regarding Dutch or English. Users can specify their communicative disability, whereby one can enter which communicative limitation one has. Additionally, we enabled the app in two new languages; Spanish and German. Furthermore, several small optimizations have been made that improve the user experience of the app.

In this version of the app, we implemented many improvements. A number of textual changes have been made, switching from WiFi to 4G during an active chat works much better, the instructions for starting a chat have been improved and we have optimized logging and analytics for analyzing an emergency call. Additionally, a number of bugs have been fixed, making the app more stable.

Description of 112NL

112NL is the official app of the Dutch emergency services police, fire brigade, ambulance and Koninklijke Marechaussee. From now on you can also call 112 via 112NL in an emergency situation. If you call 112 with 112NL, you send extra data to the control room. This allows the emergency room to help you faster and better. For example, you can indicate in 112NL who you want to speak to (police, fire brigade or ambulance) and whether you cannot speak or hear properly. If the contact with you by telephone does not go well, the control room can start a chat conversation via 112NL. For example, if you have difficulty speaking or hearing, or if you do not speak Dutch or English well. In addition, your phone automatically shares your location with the control room.
