Sir Links A Lot

This is helping me at school

A Joke

I signed up for a free trail for 7 days. This app is not what I was looking for. I went in to cancel my subscription and canโ€™t. Once my โ€œfreeโ€ subscription is up, theyโ€™ll charge me for a year. Complete scam.

Response from developer

Hi Arabella. The subscription is with The Play Store not us. So, you need to cancel it with them. There's nothing we can do at your end. Click on this to find out how to do that https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7018481 Before you leave 'The World of Linking' take a look at this as it's extremely convincing. The three teachers are fab but, as always with these things, the children win the day, especially 5 year old Alex spelling 'manoeuvre' which is incredible... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g18tC2_t_Ns There will be an American version out in a couple of months though 95% of the material currently on the app works in your country. All the linking best and I hope you reconsider your decision. Sir Linkalot (as I like to link...a lot)

Visual learning

My daughter was really struggling with spellings but her memory is good - she can remember whole sections of films word for word - we realised she can remember things when they are visually represented. So this app is PERFECT! Thank you

It's great for learning

It's good for children and adults because they teach you to spell words and keep the way you spell the words in your head so when you go back to school you won't have a problem at spelling words all you have to do is log in and download the spelling boxes

The only way to learn spelling!

If this was the way children were taught how to spell we wouldnโ€™t have adults that couldnโ€™t spell! This is a game changer not just for those who canโ€™t spell, you can learn a lot about origins of words too!
If you have trouble spelling than this app will change your life!

Fantastic app

Been using during lockdown and it has really helped my 7 year old who really struggled with spellings. We are constantly singing the little rhymes and laughing at the videos. Thank you so much for making this available โค๏ธ

We are so happy that it is helping with spelling & grammar learning and revision. Keep it up!

Awesome and very educational but also some bad parts ๐Ÿ˜ข

Sir Linkalot is very good for learning spellings and words you need to know by the age of 17. Itโ€™s awesome videos make sure you understand the word and meaning of it too, the videos are funny ๐Ÿ˜‚ and good for kids Iโ€™m 9 and love it so much! ๐Ÿ’“ The only bad thing is when you do a cross word, it goes all rubbish and you canโ€™t type in the right boxes ๐Ÿ“ฆ also in tests when you get a word right sometimes it says itโ€™s wrong, once I thought I got it wrong because it said it was so I showed it to my mum and said โ€œOh I only got 19 out of 20 ๐Ÿ˜ญ!โ€ She said โ€œHang on you got them all right this app is wrong!โ€ So that is my review thanks for reading ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks for the review; much appreciated. Would you mind sending an email to sirlinkalot@sirlinkalot.org about your two queries as these need to be looked in to? We pride ourselves on the app matching the quality of the videos of which we are very proud. So we'd like to take a look to solve any problems you're experiencing.

THANK YOU ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

If any parent is reading this review and wondering whether to give this app a go.... DO! I am in no way connected to this app so itโ€™s an entirely impartial review. I feel incredibly grateful that it was made free to access during this time of schooling from home. My 8 year old twins and 5 year old (and even my 2yr old!) love it... the humour is spot on but it doesnโ€™t โ€˜dumb downโ€™ as the Susie Lexicographer snippets are brilliant and Sir Linklalot also uses lots of factual stuff eg. geography in his links. I really enjoy doing it with them and learning too! I hope you love it as much as we do!

10/10 for Engagement and Results

This is by far the best app we have downloaded to use for home schooling. Will definitely buy a subscription afterwards. The boy child LOVES doing it and will choose it over all other activities. He loves the animations and remembers then straight away. We did a spelling test at the end of the first week and he got 59/60. At school, he would get about 2/10. It is also easy for me and he can work independently but then I get jealous with him laughing at all the fun animations and so I have to come and watch it too! Even the teenager is interested (although she pretends sheโ€™s not)! Who knew spelling could be so much fun!?

Excellent

I really enjoyed the videos showing little tactics how to spell some words. They are a very clever way to learn.
But when you did the crossword there was not the answers if you did not find the them, it will take quite a lote of time finding the answers. I recommend you give clues on the crossword, so that when you donโ€™t know the answers you can have a hint which will not tell you the answer but give a nice amount of help.
Thank you, itโ€™s a great learning app.

Response from developer

Hi Ali, and welcome to The World of Linking - you won't look back. The crosswords are immediately after the last animation in the user journey. So, hopefully the clues will make you remember which animation each clue is referring to. You can find some clues on the question mark at the bottom. Thanks so much for the review โ€“ SL.
