Out of reach

Been deliberating over this review more than any I’ve written because Sim Empire is a really really Good game I think, I feel like it has more potential than any sim city built it style game I’ve played in a few years but either the beta test went wrong or the devs had no choice to skip it completely, it has the ability and in parts proves that it does have a user friendly interface and menu system, but it dos t use it, a quick eg to find out if a property is available to upgrade you to have to click on each property individually. Not a problem at first but now I’ve over 1000 population and I’m only under level 20 so you see the problem here.
Another issue is the very poor tutorial now I’m a gamer and as such played a lot of this style of game so I could work out what was what after a while but it wasn’t easy so a lot struggle which goes along way to explain the low rating. I do not think it’s getting the credit it deserves The game needs to decide if it’s an idle clicker or a immersive city simulator and they need to go back to the basic menu system for a tweak or too and make the game a bit more user friendly. Unlike many games of this genre this game no ads at all which is actually quite refreshing

update
so I’ve got a little further into the game and now have access to trade market feature which is exactly what it sounds like I can buy and sell after viewing the market prices and this feature really sets the game apart from a lot of games it adds a lot more depth and purpose to the game

You can’t play

Once you get to a certain point in the story-thing, you have to go to Yunus’s City, but that does not exist. I have looked in every menus and...it just does not exist. You can’t progress because of this. It will take you hours to find anything with this interface and the story does not help with that AT ALL. The devs need to not add fake stuff and make it so it highlights the buttons you need to press to get to where stuff is when you click on a quest(as without that it takes hours to find pretty much anything for the first time).

Good Sim Game, Needs Tweaks

Let me start off by saying that unless you build linearly, you cannot make all the buildings fit properly. So say you build everything in lines, once you have to start building Wonders, they cost such a ridiculously massive amount of resources it’s almost not with it at all to build them. I’m saying it’s 5 phases of building, and they will start at having one of the resources being around 4000. And it goes up by at least 500 every phase. So after level 25, they game is almost no longer enjoyable.

Some misconceptions

Great game overall but I’m just a beginner, only played for ten minutes but I’ve already found a misconception, Persians were Zoroastrian so why does the Persian civilisation build mosques?
That’s my only complaint so far keep up the good work :D

Great game but needs a bit more work also fix the bugs.

This game is fun but can you take the grid off also can you also take off the need for roads to connect to everything, it’s kinda irrelevant to have them connected, I hate that we need everything around everything for example the Quarry system can’t function without a clinic, repair station, and security. As soon as I built it someone already committed murder in half a second. Also I traded wheat for woods and it didn’t even give it to me.

Last update

Since the last update, the app closes by itself constantly when not used.

Could be good.

The fact that you cannot move buildings without losing population, repaying for its construction and waiting in some cases hours upon hours to build is frustration. Need a click and move function that doesn’t cost anything as you don’t know how much room and how many buildings you are going to need for each level until you get there. It is also impossible to produce all the things you need I. Your city. Small limit on the amount of things like fisheries, lumber camps and the such mean you are forced to purchase items through the trade store but there is often none of the items you need. This game has the possibility to be really good but it falls short across the board. Also the game offers no English version.

Fun but needs work.

Not very informative when it comes to certain tasks. One building I placed still had an exclamation point over it and when I tried to make roads for it didn’t work and I couldn’t get anything else done because of it. An okay way to pass time but not long lasting since it can get frustrating.

Could be great.... Could be....

First off in order to not be waiting for several days to progress in this game, you need real $$$. You are expected to pour tons of real $$$ into your game. Then into the gameplay... You have now purchased diamonds and gold bars. Great now you can expand and grow! But watch out you won’t be able to move items you already have in your inventory without population restrictions or time to rebuild in the new spot sometimes quick but while waiting for these restrictions some of your buildings fall subject to plague or natural disasters. And If you already put some diamonds in to accelerate time for production within certain buildings that are now under attack from plague or natural disasters, too bad those are now gone and most likely the building will be decimated and will have to be rebuilt from scratch. Thus furthering you from the finish point on so many invested production times on buildings and resources. Again could be great. But too many obstacles to open up a fun enjoyable gaming experience.
