Simple, works, no complications
This does exactly what it says it does: counts down to midnight on New Year’s Eve in the time zone it detects for you (or you select). Some ads, but it’s free so that’s okay. No excessive bells and whistles complicating things. Nice and simple and does the job perfectly.

This app somehow knows when the exact moment of the new year is. I'm sure there is some kind of wizardry in play. 10/10 would ring in another year again.
