This is the update I have been waiting for. I took a leap of faith, and opened MathPix in a floating window (iPad). I was thrilled that this worked. Even better, when I took a screenshot, I was able to drag it right into the app. I really appreciate that the developers implemented the features I was asking for. I'm finally able to leave my MacBook at home, as my entire workflow fits within iPadOS.

Still using this mostly on laptop or desktop. Happy that they have the handwriting feature (which does not feel smooth), but still a little bummed that I cannot share a screenshot to mathpix without opening the app and importing from the camera roll. I would like to see a share option in iOS for "scan in MathPix". Also, as I have become more used to working on an iPad, I have become dependent on apps that allow me to multitask. This app still does not support splitscreen.

Still no share menu support for screen shots. This app is still frustrating enough that I open my laptop to do snipping. I would like to do snips without opening the app if it is not going to be updated for iPadOS

As someone trying to do more of my workflow on iPadOS, I was happy to see MathPix had an app. I am trying them out on my Mac now and I am likely to subscribe because of the quality of the OCR itself. Unfortunately, without landscape mode at the very least on my iPad, it is hard to decide if the headache of typing LaTeX or the neck pain of trying to use this app with my head rotated 90 degrees. Not to mention, it does not seem to reachable from the share menu, so I cannot take a screenshot and share the cropped result to mathpix.

Amazing App for Students and Researchers
I’ve used this frequently for years now and I still share it with everyone I can in my physics research. Not only does it save tons of time, it’s great for learning latex formatting. I more or less use the app for the snipping only, but combined with the web app, this is an incredibly powerful tool. I don’t have anything to add as it pertains to the differential equation solver.

An amazing research tool！！！
Mathpix is an amazing tool, which greatly improves my research efficiency. I have been using it since v1, which can easily identify complex formulas, simplify them, and witness the continuous progress of its technology. Saves tons of time
Accurately reads my handwriting, and saves me a lot of time of typing the formulas out. Also, it helps me to better learn LaTeX.

What an amazing app, it’s so useful! Both equations I’ve written were developed perfectly, and the fact it syncs instantly to the computer makes Latex writing so much quicker, thank you!

The app works great and I used the older version of this. New update messed up the size of the window on the computer to work on. Really really small and difficult to work on. If that could be fixed so we can see the screen better this would be 5 stars!!

Doesn’t work as well as promised.
This might be ok with simple equations but fails miserably with advanced mathematics (research level). Even if you write on lined paper the app has difficulty distinguishing between subscripts and regular text. It will often confuse brackets with C’s. Preparing mathematics for submission to a journal for publication takes longer than just regular latex as you will forever be correcting symbols to the correct font even when your formula’s are somewhat correctly recognized.
