  • It works is the highest praise I can give it.

Lots of rate limits even when barely browsing, losing my place when switching apps, and inability to load images if you try to find your place if you rapidly scroll past 50 posts to get back to where you were make this app only slightly better than the official app but that’s not saying much.

This app is more annoying than it is good.

  • Great when it works

Tried a bunch of different browsers for Reddit because for some reason Reddit is committed to looking like 1998. I like this one the most, but it gives quirky error messages fairly frequently. But the different ways of viewing feeds is so much cleaner than anything that I’ve used.
  • It Does the Job

It’s better than the official app but it’s such a low bar that the only reason it gets two stars is because the official one gets one.

I can load into the app having not used it for the day and still get rate limits. I’ve also opened profiles or subreddits and come back later and they’re 404’d, which then auto-closes them if I restart the app. Incredibly frustrating especially since they were there just a few hours ago and there after the fact.

It works and is a better way to browse than the official app but I’m constantly getting some kind of problem that hampers my enjoyment of it.

  • Too limited, literally…

I get that this is largely (perhaps almost entirely) Reddit’s fault, but even after paying for the app, the rate limit is laughably low. In the less than half hour I’ve used the app since paying the subscription fee, I’ve received the “too many requests” pop-up several times. It’s ridiculously unusable for even a basic user, let alone someone who would actually want to view more than a dozen posts. The app (in terms of design) is decent enough, but that rate limit is a dealbreaker. I would NOT recommend this.

  • Paid subscriber for years but don't like new price increase

I love Multi tumblr reddit app. I paid a one time fee and its awesome. I guess the app developers learned the mistake of a one time paid fee so now they are to taking advantage of increasing a yearly subscription fee, I wouldnt mind if it was worth it but the developers has done nothing to make the app better except cash in on subscribers.

  • What is this?

I’ve tried a dozen different 3rd party apps for Reddit over the years. This one is, by far, the worst UI I’ve ever seen. It’s a convicted, jumbled mess, and lacks any intuitive design. I’d be surprised if this app survives much longer. I’d even rather take my chances with the official app that no one is into

  • Video rewind Area

Hello it will be very helpful if you can make the video rewind are wider. Each time I try to rewind it does other things. Thank you
  • Consistent “too many request” errors

I use it daily but only a couple of hours a day at best, I get constant pop ups about “too many requests” despite paying for the premium edition makes this just slightly worse than using the regular Reddit app.

Sometimes it rate limits me for 2 minutes at a time, lets me use it for maybe 10 and hits me with another. It depends on the day.

If you’re going to charge for a product it should definitely work a little better.

That said the app itself is fine, very few issues overall but the rate limiting the premium subscription kills what would otherwise be an easy 4 stars.

I canceled my sub and will ride it out until it expires, unless they can get that issue sorted out I won’t renew and I’ll just stick with the official Reddit app.

RIP Apollo, no one has done a Reddit app better than you.

  • Better than the official app in many ways!

I absolutely miss Apollo for Reddit. MultiTab for Reddit is very different but gets a lot of things right that the official Reddit app gets so wrong.

I do wish swiping from the center could be changed to other options. I also wish the app on an iPhone pro max didn't zoom in media to fill by vertical height but rather by width. Perhaps have an option? It all looks really good on an iPad though. Amazing and so much better than the official app.

I did sub to get some more features that I find useful and it makes Reddit feel less restrictive.

    Developer Response

Double tap on fullscreen image will zoom in to fill by vertical height. Thanks for the support.
  • I would love to use this app but I NEED moderator tools

i enjoy multitab for tumblr very much and i pay for the subscription every year, so the idea of having a familiar interface from a developer i trust is very appealing. but i moderate a double handful of communities and if there are no mod tools, then the app is useless for me.
