Description of DailyFiber

Fiber is an important part of our health and we don't always manage to keep track of our nutrients intake. DailyFiber helps you be more aware of your fiber intake so that you can adjust it if it’s not where you would like it to be. You start by setting your goal, which you can adjust in time, and then search for foods you eat during the day to see their fiber content. You log them in your today's list to keep track of how much fiber you've had and how much more to go until you reach your goal for the day. It also shows your history so that you can see your progress or just be aware of your dietary habits in terms of fiber intake. DailyFiber also shows you a list of high-fiber foods you can use to get inspired when in need of more fiber. DailyFiber saves your fiber intake in your Apple Health app.

Reviews of DailyFiber

  • Lacks useful features

I realize this app is free, however it lacks several useful features and has several inaccurate fiber content listings. It would be helpful if the amount of each food could be entered in units other than grams or oz. For example, it should be possible to enter oatmeal in dry cups. It also seems impossible to enter food data for the previous day. I tried to enter last evenings dinner items this morning and could not find a way to do it.
  • Finally, the simplicity I was looking for!

Thank you for this clean and lean interface! So many of the apps I tried require an overpriced subscription to simply show fiber intake, and/or the fiber info was so buried among other nutrient data it wasn't obvious or easy to track.

Your app is exactly what I need. I love its ease of use. I will contact you to see how to send a monetary thank you gift. Kudos!
  • Misinformation

Unfortunately, the tracking information is inaccurate. After reaching out to the team I was informed to “ try to find those entries that you consider accurate and save them as favourites. If you cannot find them, you can add them as custom food and just use the info from the package”. Specifically, one example, Fiber per 3.53 oz of Blueberries - Raw - 56 g fiber.

Who wouldn’t eat 4 Oz of blueberries everyday if this was the case??

It would be great if the team could figure out a way to bring accuracy to this app.

    Developer Response

Hi, sorry to hear that you had issues with using our app. After a search using “blueberries raw”, like in your example, the first 2 results indicate 2,4 grams of fiber and not the quantity you mentioned. Maybe the result you saw was one custom added by another user. As those are visible to everyone and we mention that we cannot control their accuracy, custom items can be switched off in the search. DailyFiber uses a very large database that is not owned by us, that's why we gave you those suggestions.
