Blurry scan with iPhone 12 Pro
I can’t get a clear scan using my iPhone 12 Pro. It seems like the scanner would work better with a iPhone that has one camera. Tried to scan with just my camera app and not the Kodak app and still doesn’t work very well. Bought the kit on a whim to see if it was useful. Probably need to buy a normal slide scanner for better results.

Crashed
Though the Kodak Mobile Film Scanner was touted as a slide scanner, slide scanning is not an option on this Kodak app and the app crashed on my iPhone. Thus, the only option is to attempt to scan without an app. That result was terrible. Also, one might want to review the privacy policy of the app prior to using it.

Horrible
This is a waste of money and time. It doesn’t work at all save your money do not purchase this item
Doesn’t work
Impossible to get a usable result. Not at all what it is said to do.
Works Perfectly
I recently bought the $25 Film Scanner to scan all my mothers old films of me. It worked perfectly. I was so amazed to see the films in color and it’s great for bringing those old memories to the digital world.
App won’t let me choose a color type
It just keeps closing??
Doesn’t work with iPhone 12 pro max
I don’t know what I am doing wrong. All I see is a total blur with color slides.
doesn’t work
deleted because the photos appear blurry
Product works better without the app
The mobile scanner is a clever design. I’m using it with my iPhone to digitize color slides. Using the app, I got terrible (fuzzy) images. If I simply use my phone’s camera, I get great results. I have to crop and edit later with either my phone’s image editor or Photoshop (but even app-generated photos require editing).
TIP: remove your phone from any case or holder, as those things affect the focal distance.

Good for previewing negatives, bad for scanning.
I’m using the iPhone 11 Pro Max and although the app is great for quickly seeing my negatives after developing, it’s terrible with color rendition. The color red is so over saturated that it looks like a highlighter color. Lowering the saturation doesn’t even help. Other colors aren’t as bad though.
At the end of the day, the $25 scanner and free app is hands down the best/cheapest way to preview your negatives without having to use a proper scanner that takes 30 seconds-3 minutes per frame.
