Fun for a while but…

Just when you think you are rising in the ranks, they do server merges, meaning your galaxy merges with another. Sometimes this means you absorb troublemaker players and other times it means suddenly your federation isn’t on top anymore. They should give all active players involved in a galaxy merge one free transfer ticket. If the new galaxy is filled with players that attack 24/7 and you had a peaceful galaxy, chances are players will quit. It makes more sense to give them one free galaxy transfer ticket to keep them in the game (ie a revenue stream) than to lose it.

This game works fine

When I started this game was so fun and the graphics were really good and I never crashed before so this is a fun game to play

Don’t Download

First of all game was and used to be fun. It’s turned into a play to win game. Even if you put countless hours into the game someone will always have really deep pockets to get ahead. The gap in power between players is crazy and almost unreachable. Let’s say you have money to spend, you will hit a wall with construction times, upgrades, that take a while to complete. But you can buy your way around it. Everything at this point is incentivized to spend money. Just a decent boost and items that might give you a bit of a push cost around $50. I’m guilty of this. I’ve probably spent around $500 or so and I’m no where near the lvl or strength of some other players. They really should either cap player vs player at a certain level or something similar to where you atleast have a fighting chance. Most player are from other countries anyway. Feel like most people give up before reaching lvl 20. Lots of dead bases(inactive players). Was fun at one point.

Unbalanced for new players and doesn’t respect your time.

I have a love hate relationship with this game. It is a good concept. Unfortunately it is wildly unbalanced and does nothing to encourage you to continue playing. New players have no protection from veteran and high level players. Your planet can be raided daily by other players. The game compensates you a percentage for your lost resources. However your fleets are constantly being destroyed by stronger players making you spend more resources and time to rebuild, only for it to be destroyed again the next day by another attack. Many players generally quit since it is a complete waste of your time, so the servers are riddled with “dead planets”.

Surprising

I won’t mention the other game here however it’s not to dissimilar of an engine that’s used.

I rated this 5 as its well thought out and surprising that the developers are not a cash grab business and it’s reasonable if you wish to pay to progress quicker to a level worth of having a confrontation with another player in the interest of fun and not bullying.

With the above said, in regards to pay to progress quicker, if you have a little patience it’s only between, from what I have observed, 2 to 5 times slower depending on your route and you don’t come to an impasse where you have to pay.

It’s a well balanced game inclusive to all wallet and non wallet alike.

Only for people who have money to waste

This game was once reasonably good, and F2P players could grind and compete even with the whales. That is no longer the case. In the last couple of years, the devs have taken an all too predictable cycle of raising level caps the moment it looks like anyone could possibly approach the upper levels without spending tens of thousands of dollars. They’ve also larded on obscure relics, enhancements, and upgrades to ships and commanders that make it impossible for anyone who isn’t prepared to make the game a second career to keep track of. This, combined with a player base that seems exclusively comprised of overpaid psychopaths, has made the game impenetrable and unplayable for anyone not prepared to spend the equivalent of a house mortgage on the game.

If you’re wealthy and have no compunction about throwing your money to Korean developers instead of, say, ending world hunger or ring around the collar, and you have a need to bully others as a means of compensation for … whatever it is you need to compensate for, this game is for you.

If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing way to while away some time without having to spend a fortune just to be able to attempt to keep up, look elsewhere.

I give it one star because I can’t figure out how to give it zero.
