  • I’m 10 again

The perfect emulation of a first generation personal computer point and click adventure. Charming. Absurd at times. Some fan service to lovers of the first la la. Thanks for the great game, duckbear!!
  • Achievements Not Working

Great game, but achievements don’t work
  • Much more in depth

Longer and more satisfying game than the first instalment. I definitely recommend this game
  • Surprised me with emotional hits

I really enjoyed this game. It was way longer than the first one and it’s clear how hard the devs doubled down on the lore, gameplay and entire experience. So much fun and extremely lovely experience. I was surprised at how invested I felt in the story by the end. The storytelling was understated but beautiful and I found myself tearing up at times. The changing of the wanted posters and the orchestra are my favourite parts. I revisited the waterfall cave a lot just to watch and listen. I know I missed a lot in this play through so I’ll definitely be replaying to explore everything that I can.

  • Lala 1 > Lala 2

I enjoy escape Lala 2. Escape Lala 1 has a unique charm that this sequel fails to completely recapture. The first game also had simpler puzzles. I find myself using a lot of hints in this one as some of the answers might be a little unintuitive. The theme is slightly random in this game too. Still a fun game, good job to the developers.

  • Nostalgic fun

I love the point and click super simple gameplay, the music and the retro look is very satisfying! Please make a Escape Lala 3!!!
  • Very Poor

Visually a nice game, sadly let down by illogical use of inventory items throughout game.
  • Charming, old-school escapism

Escape Lala 2 is a retro-inspired point and click adventure that feels very, very at home on the iOS platform. If you played Escape Lala 1, you'll know what to expect, except this time the world is much larger and full of extra optional secrets and puzzles (some of which I still haven't figured out).

There's a lot to love in this one, and I enjoyed spending hours poking around its many handcrafted corners. The only downside I can think of is that it's easy to get lost, and often you'll be expected to keep track of numerous different points of interest spanning the whole game world. Unless you're much better at this genre than me, getting a new item often involves visiting every hotspot that hasn't been utilized yet, and brute-forcing all combinations -- some of the puzzles are more intuitive, thankfully.

The developers have made a loyal fan out of me with this charming world. Looking forward to an Escape Lala III and IV at the least. :)

  • Incredible fun!

Escape Lala 1 is their first game...it’s free so it’s shorter & simpler. But if you like it, you’ll love Lala 2. This is old school point-and-click adventuring. These games require patience and creative non-linear thinking....and a note pad! There’s so much going on, that it’s easy to forget a few things...which will leave you running around trying to find the next step. But this is the kind of immersion, attention to detail and complexity I enjoy. Many scenes you think you completed will regenerate a new finding. So patient exploration is a must.

The devs were kind enough to supply a map and teleport points.

Small critiques: 1) some of the storyline is undeveloped which leaves some goals un clear. There are a couple parts that aren’t intuitive at all. But luckily these areas are extra parts not required to complete the game.

    2) There is different background music in diff areas. Some of it can be a bit repetitive and tinny

Bottom line...Im looking forward to Escape from Lala 3!

  • Happy

I don’t know what it is about the lala games, but they just make me happy. Love being lazy in bed trying to figure out all the puzzles. Big smiles.
