Thru My Eyes Simulator

If you are someone affected by a retinal eye disease, how often have you wished to be able to describe what you see to others? Or have you ever wondered how someone with impaired vision sees the world? We hope this app can help you do that! The Thru My Eyes app is being developed by ProQR Therapeutics as an interactive tool to support inherited retinal disease (IRD) awareness. While the app provides an artist’s impression using different filters, we have calibrated visual acuity (sharpness of vision) to validated scales to be as realistic as possible. Thru My Eyes is still in its early stages and we plan to continue its development. For now it only provides a simulation of Leber’s congenital amaurosis. We will add more eye diseases to the app in the future. We hope that this app can be a conversation starter and helpful to educate others about the impact of IRDs on vision.
