It could be improved by adding a stop button so that one can average over a long period of time, say a few hours.

Thank you very much for your review! Regarding your suggestion - do you mean a “pause” button? At the moment there’s only start and stop. Is the idea that you’d average a bit, then pause for some time (but your phone has to remain in same location), then at a later point collect more samples and finally stop completely?
