Reviews of Desert X

  • Simple and easy to use

This was a very easy to follow map at the desert and I like the fact that they showed me the pictures to see and know what to expect when I arrive. The one suggestion I do have is to let the consumers now there might be a hike to get to the place from the parking spaces.
  • Art is great but new map is awful! -Fixed!

They fixed it from the below review. Re-rating. But still don’t think it needs dark mode- but happy I can look at a flat map again. Thanks!

This new map is horrible. It looks fancy but not manageable or functional. Please go back to last year’s map!! I would expect to use it to understand where in the valley each exhibit was and be able to get directions from it or at least get a comprehensible view of where the exhibit was. Had to go to each individual page of the exhibit and get directions from there. But when you are doing a tour- you want to see which exhibit is closest to you. Map snaps back and you can barely see the blue dot that says where you are nor the street you are on.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. We understand this is frustrating and have made some changes. If you update to the latest version of the app, you'll find that we removed the re-centering of the map, added street names to the map, and added a button to toggle between 2D and 3D modes on the map. We hope this makes navigating Desert X 2023 easier.
  • Glad there’s an app but Not user friendly.

In the past this app worked for what it was intended, finding the different art exhibits.
This year the app isn’t user friendly at all. The map recenters itself and doesn’t allow to properly find a location.
