  • Fills a currently missing Shortcuts capability for me

Time and location based triggering has been one of the biggest frustrations I’ve had when using Shortcuts. Having a great automated work flow is fantastic but what I need is those things to happen without me thinking about it more than anything else.

Pushcut helps to fill that hole for me by giving me time and location based triggers (extra points for being able to combine them).

This need for me has been strong enough that I paid for the Prod subscription even knowing that there are some of these capabilities coming in the iOS 13 updates. I expect the developer will continue to offer capabilities in this app going forward that enable advanced usability even after the new Shortcuts capabilities are added. Third-party developers have always been a step ahead when it comes to iOS automation and pushing the bounds and I’m happy to be able to support such a useful tool to keep those boundaries being pushed.

Thank you so much for your nice review! I sure will try my best to keep you happy by adding new automation features and capabilities to Pushcut as much as iOS will allow it. I have a couple of ideas lined up for iOS 13 already...
  • Can’t agree to privacy policy.

Uninstalled before I ever tried it. Might be good but I’m not selling my letting my self be tracked where ever I go for a little convenience.
  • Useless

They require a subscription for any basic uses of this app. At least we should be able to use the basic features without a subscription. Money should be optional. The devs don't know the first thing about making a functional subscription service.

Edit: last time I checked, the input parameters are blocked without a pro subscription.

I am really sorry you feel that way. The free version allows you to send unlimited notifications for up to three different use cases/shortcuts. Which feature would you need in the free package to get "basic use" for you? --- You are correct: passing input parameters - along with the other customization options in the JSON interface - are part of the Pro level currently priced at 2$/month. I am sorry that this pricing does not work for you, but for now I will stick with it. The JSON interface will be extended very soon, and I will consider your point of moving the basic input parameters to the free version. I cannot make any promises yet though.
  • Great for only single actions!

I know a developer should have limitations when it comes to needing money, but it does everything that I need when it comes to making basic notifications. Only suggestion that I have is that there should be in is a help section. At first, I didn’t know how to push the notification out, but I know how to now from using your site. Please be sure to include a help section for those who don’t know how to instead of either writing a bad review or doing one extra step and have to go to your site to do so. Great app though! Very convenient now so I can automatically backup shortcuts everyday :)

thanks for the feedback! I will be sure to include something in the app directly to make this bit clearer. I also plan to add direct IFTTT and Zapier integrations which should make this part even more streamlined.
  • This app solves a problem I didn’t know I had

Are you a power user who knows what a POST request is? If you use Shortcuts, you need this app!

Thank you for the nice review! Btw: You are officially the first ; ) I plan to add more customization options and flexibility to the notifications as soon as I can, so that us power users have even more to play with.
