Works Great with Particle Photon
I’m using an inexpensive Particle Photon microcontroller to monitor my vehicle’s battery and needed a way to get notified if the battery was low. I previously used Twilio SMS but that stopped working a while back due to changes in the API. This app provided an easy interface to the Photon and I even found a tutorial in the latest Circuit Cellar magazine. Plus, you can’t beat the price!Show lesstbitson
Works amazing with the VPilot Pushover application
I use this app for one purpose and it’s great at it. I use a service called VATSIM for my flight simulator on my PC, which is basically real people providing virtual ATC service to planes in the flight sim. If I ever have to step away from my desk while I’m flying, I won’t have my microphone or headset to hear that a controller is trying to get my attention. With Pushover and a user-made plugin, whenever a controller sends me a message in the VATSIM software, the program called VPilot Pushover will send me a push notification of the exact message I got in the VATSIM software. Incredible price. Straight forward solution that just works. Easy API setup, they don’t spam me and - get this- didn’t even ask me to upgrade for YEARS until I actually needed their premium service options, at which point I think it would be an understatement to say I was ‘happy to pay to upgrade’ - I am so beyond satisfied that I came here to review them because I feel like I owe them more than $5, and the fact that it doesn’t expire is just incredible.Show lessCfomodz
