1.2.7

March 27, 2023

Hello! I am thrilled to announce the release of this new version 1.2.7, which includes some amazing new features and improvements based on user feedback. I have added a relock iPhone feature after using the Lock Screen widget, a roller blinds/shutters position dimmer, a new shortcut action, and more. I am grateful to all of you for your continued support, and I hope these new features will make your experience even better. Please make sure to update your device's operating system to the latest version to take advantage of the relock iPhone feature. I also want to take a moment to ask for your help in spreading the word about my app. Marketing an app can be challenging, and I would be grateful if you could share the app with your friends and family, leave a review on the App Store, and help us reach more people who could benefit from my app. Here's what's new in version 1.2.7: - Adds a relock iPhone feature after using the Lock Screen widget (last iOS version only. Please update your device OS). - Adds a dimming action type for roller shutters/blinds. You can now precisely position the opening position using the slider. - Adds the roller shutter/blind's current position on button items (like for dimming lights). - Adds a new "Launch Shortcut (without return)" action to launch actions like opening the TV remote, locking the phone. - Improves the "Toggle - Dimmer" cinematic so that when a lamp goes from ON to OFF state, you have a delay to slide the dimmer and cancel the toggle OFF action. - Improves the behavior of manually reducing the app. - Fixes an offset issue on the panel carousel. - Improvements and bug fixes. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to continuing to improve the app for you."

Description of Home Widget

Welcome to an enhanced home control experience with Home Widget for HomeKit app – the ultimate solution for managing your HomeKit devices effortlessly, right from your Home screen. Say goodbye to the hassle of searching and organizing, and say hello to streamlined control and customization. Have you ever dreamed of controlling your HomeKit devices right from your Home screen? Of checking the status of your HomeKit accessories without moving? Of customizing each action button without spending hours on it? Of finding the same actions always in the same place on your Home Screen? of toggling a device right from the Lock Screen? Your dreams have become reality through our innovation! Home Widget has been specifically designed for this purpose! You can now interact with your entire HomeKit universe (accessories, scenes, groups, shortcuts and cameras) from your iPhone or iPad Home Screen with the brand new iOS Home Widgets. We were keen to design an app as simple as possible, in the spirit of iOS Widgets so that it is both efficient and pleasant to use. Enough with words, let's dive into action! You just create a panel in the application, you then add it accessories, scenes or sensors and even shortcuts, and that's it! All you have to do is add your Widget to the Home Screen and you can control your home right away. It’s a child’s play! HomeKit camera are also supported. You can open a live feed just with one tap from your widgets. And if you are like us and do like everything to have its place, you can customize the icons, the names, the background colors of the panels, add transparency, blur, play with settings, and endlessly customize your control panels and widgets. You can also dim your lights with an integrated dimmer or even change the color. Whether you have only a single connected lock or an entire HomeKit home, take the time to try it out. The possibilities are truly immense. For example, if you want to hide a button that opens your front door under the Calendar Widget, it's simple! A stack of Widgets, a "Home Widget" under the Calendar Widget and you're done. Last but not least, the great thing about Home Widget is that it it maintains the state of accessories, just like iOS Control Center does. If a lamp is on then the button is bright, if it is off it is dark. One last tip for the road, you can also position your HomeKit widgets on the "Today View" by swiping right from the Home Screen or Lock Screen. This gives you access to your home from the locked screen. (It remains protected by Face ID / Touch ID). To shorten it, “Home Widget”:
• brings HomeKit widgets to iPhone and iPad • allows you to create customizable HomeKit control panels and actions • provides state feedback for HomeKit accessories, scenes and groups
• shares panels between different devices via iCloud • shares panels between different accounts using AirDrop Family sharing is enabled on all our subscriptions and in-app purchase so you can use it across all the family devices. Turn your iPhone or iPad into a real HomeKit control center! Some functionalities require “Home Widget Premium” which is available as a one-time in-app purchase or for those who prefer, it also comes as as an annual or monthly subscription. Its price is extremely affordable and will allow us to keep improving and maintaining this smart app. Your feedback is invaluable so please do not hesitate to contact us to give us your thoughts or make suggestions: contact@vision-apps.com If you like it do not hesitate to recommend this app to your friends. • Insanely Useful & Great with Arlo and other cameras!

This app is insanely useful for anyone who uses the Home app as your main smart home application. Once you start building panels and creating widgets, this app instantly becomes your go to app! The Lock Screen widget is awesome! The active widgets are awesome! There is so much you can do with this app! Anyone who has cameras (Arlo in particular), this is a must have application. For some reason, accessing live feeds off your Arlo cameras is super fast with this app as compared with the Home app or even the Arlo native app. Not sure why or how but try setting up a camera live feed using this app’s widget and you will notice a significant decrease in the time it takes for the feed to start streaming. Finally, the battery sensors provide you with a simple glance to see all your camera battery levels in one place!

  • Bugs have made this unusable

I bought the lifetime license for this because I thought it was very helpful but recently my premade widgets have been becoming unresponsive as a majority of the buttons that have been associated with certain devices have lost that association all at once. I fixed it once by painstakingly going back in and resetting each widget but I woke up this morning and it was back to its messed up state.

Hello Violet Delights, I think that we resolved your issue some months ago by email. Would you mind editing your comments and rating if so. Otherwise can you contact me by email : clement.marty@visin-apps.com Thank you, Clement
  • Garage Doors Not Updating Status

Although this is a great concept, the widgets don’t seem to update in real time unless controlled directly from the widget. My main use case is to have a 3 panel widget showing both of our garage door and our house lock. When the house is secure, they are grey and when anything is open or unlocked they are highlighted. This works fine if you control the devices from the widget directly. However, if they are manually changed or changed via Siri/homekit directly the widget doesn’t show the status change for a very long time. This negates the usefulness of the app. If I’m doing something wrong please let me know.

Finally, I really don’t understand the backgrounds concept. The setup and functionality is quite confusing and I still don’t understand it.

    Developer Response

Hi Ezrabud, As you mentioned, when you manually changed device state via Siri/homekit directly the widget doesn’t show the status immediately but it should be update within the next 20 minutes or when using any other widget action. If you need immediate device states refresh, you can also add a manual refresh button. I am sorry for that limitation but it's an Apple limitation. I can give you more details on that and about the backgrounds concept by email if you want to. Just contact me at clement.marty@vision-apps.com Regards, Clement
