First of all, I own the 3G device. There are older 2G devices available but finding 2G coverage is rare. Go for the 3G device if you are looking to buy a tracker. There are multiple trackers available and they all have different functionality but the app shows all features of all trackers and you have to figure out what your device can and can not do. If I could hire all the features my device is not able to do that would make the app much easier to use. The tracking in real time, trip playback, and ability to cut power to the fuel pump from the app works perfectly. These are the 3 main features I use and I love that I can do this and have peace of mind that my car won’t be able to start when I am away from it. The app has a system of “alarms” that fill an alarm log when your vehicle enters or exits a marked area but I wish it could send a push notification so I actually know if my car left my house for example. You have to open the log and look at it to know if anything happened, it doesn’t actually tell you. The lack of push notifications is my biggest issue. I want to be notified when my car starts, or when my car leaves my house, etc... but currently I can’t find a way to make the app or device notify me of these things. The device can definitely tell when the car starts or moves but the app is what doesn’t notify when it really should. That way if I’m away from my car but I get a notification that it started or left my house I would know right away that it isn’t me and I can react fast to a possible theft. Like I said the working features are great but notifications would make this a 5 star app and device combo.
