Good app, but…

I’ve been using this app for so long it seems to me that it was called something else before it was Yolmo. Now, all of a sudden, I go to get back into the Python 3 module and it’s locked pending membership purchase?!? There are other (likely better) free apps out there, but I’d be willing to pay for this one. Once. Not monthly or annually! There’s nothing here worth paying a monthly subscription for! Maybe $4.99 one time purchase, but that’s it. Sorry, but unless the pricing model changes I’ve gotta move on to something else.

Perfect

Perfect if you want to make a Roblox game or something else…however…you can’t do playgrounds without paying and it doesn’t ask any questions to test you about what you can remember etc. I only got this app because it is the only one I can find on the whole App Store that teaches lua. If Sololearn or Mimo taught lua I would definitely choose to use one of those instead. But thank you for letting me learn at all

bug

it’s a very good app but after i write code on the stylesheet, the code disappears when i go back to the stylesheet. this just happened after the update. please fix this.

Response from developer

I am writing to let you know that the Stylesheet disappearing bug has now been fixed. All you need to do to get the latest updates is close and reopen the app. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused.

Awesome app. Easy to navigate and code

I love this app. I can run code anywhere and anytime.

Just not quite the same

I learned a decent amount from this app and it was a useful tool but the monetizing kinda ruined it. Thank you so much for what I did learn though. 🙏🏽

Playgrounds not working

Great app, but it always prompts me to watch and ad. This wouldn’t have been much of an issue if it could ACTUALLY PLAY THE AD. I get stuck in the “watch an ad now” screen and cannot access playgrounds.

Response from developer

Sorry for the hiccup with the ads. We just rolled out a new update with a fix. Please give that a go, thanks.

Fulfilled my curiosity

Wanting to learn C++ and Python while working a third shift job isn’t easy. So having the portability of this amount of knowledge for free is amazing especially when I have no service, thanks your doing the lords work here lol.

Keyboard Shortcuts for common chars

Quite useful! Been using it for 2 years now. One suggestion please, add keyboard shortcuts for common symbols like ; { } ( ) [ ] just floating right above the keyboard, since these are common in almost all programming languages.

App is not opening

The app opened and ran fine the first time I downloaded it on my iPhone and iPad; however, after using “Sign Up/In with Apple,” I was met with a never ending loading screen and wasn’t unable to proceed further——uninstalling and reinstalling didn’t work. In fact, after reinstalling, I’m not even able to access the Sign In page because it’s just loading and loading.

I downloaded the iPad version of the app on my M1 mac and it worked fine when I didn’t use the Sign-in with Apple function.

I am on the latest iOS/iPadOS betas on the respective devices (iPhone 13 pro, M1 iPad Pro), I dunno if that’s possibly causing the issue.

Response from developer

Hello flousyy, this was an issue at our end. Some percentage of users coming from Apple Sign Users experienced an infinite loader screen after signing in. A new version with the fix was launched to the app store today! Please update asap! If the problem persists, feel free to reach out to me at hemanta@yolmo.com

Yes

This is by far the best coding app I’ve ever seen. They give you lessons and playgrounds, which means you can just do anything with this app. Would recommend to any future coder.
