Funplus, SOS.

As you may notice, good reviews are outdated. Yes the game, at inception, was fun to play. Now, however, it has become tedious, time consuming, irritating and very annoying. In bullet form. 1; very bad to non existent customer service. 2; screen is so overpopulated to the point of being unplayable. 3; from the developers it seems just “ cut and past” bad ideas. 4; there are so many old hero’s that serve no purpose but no recycle option. So cache is filled with redundant data. 5; the reporting system is seriously flawed. They don’t want to hear complaints so the reports disappear down Alice’s rabbit hole. Their Discord account should be shut down, it serves no purpose, except to take bandwidth. I understand the commercial decisions but, Funplus, well, senior management take advice the same way they listen to their customers.. I’ve invested a lot of real money, so I play through pigheadedness and the hope of improvement. My advice to new players, give this company and it’s games a wide berth.

Hello, Survivor! We appreciate your thoughts about the game. For obtaining heroes, you can get free fragments by using the "Hero Search" in the Hero Precinct building. You can also gain some hero fragments as rewards after joining some events in the game. Wishing you the best of luck in the game and have a great day!

A game based on money making for the developer

This could be a very competitive game apart from developers are more interested in the in app purchases for upgrades. It lends itself to those that are willing to spend lots and lots of money, rather than balancing the gameplay out. There are some pretty good events and others which are very dull with no tactics involved whatsoever…strongest wins type thing which massively goes against those free to play. The match making is awful. If they were to mend the matchmaking and have better time options for events this game would be better. There are too many bugs and lags in the game which feels slow at times and just when you reach the most important part of battle will just log you out. The complaints and support system is slow with no resolution to issues. A lot of players quit not because of the constant upgrades, but because these cost more money the higher level you are, which says a lot for the concern the developers have over the game. It is very enjoyable in state state wars, but they really do need to sort out matchmaking and maybe put handicaps to make things fairer. In reference to online chat…you might as well throw a dice to see what happens..they are happy to have threats and racism blatantly readable in chat, then block someone for a childish swear word…

They just want money

I wanted a game I could get into and play for a while so I gave SOS a go. Initially it was really good fun and I enjoyed getting more into it, up until i got bullied by some bigger players and realised I needed to spend or lag behind. I’ll freely admit I did spend a bit of money and tbh that’s my choice and I saw it as just me having a game hobby in lockdown so I have no complaints, apart from one. Due to game glitches you could end up paying £5, £10, £20 on something you didn’t actually click on - to then try and get your money back or swapped for what you did buy is impossible. There is no customer service or interest in your case and you’ll just get lied to or ignored until you stop asking - you will never see your money again. The other issue I have is with the homophobic/sexist/racist language that constantly goes on in the game chats, I reported it around 10 times and nothing gets done, I saw people get bullied or abused and King Group couldn’t care less if they are still getting their money

Good day, Survivor. We'd like to apologize for your bad experience and also thank you for your honest review. The State of Survival team has already been working so hard to reduce the gap between the spender and non-spender players. We will still keep doing our best to provide all our players with a good gaming experience. As for your payment issue, we apologize that this happened. We'd like to humbly ask for you to give us another chance to solve this issue for you. Please contact our player support and make sure to provide the screenshot of your receipt and the other details that the will need to investigate. I sincerely sympathize with your situation and hope that everything will work out.

Fun game but some complaints.

I have been playing this game for 5 years now and let me just say it’s VERY hard to grow your power, it’s taken me this long just to get myself to almost 500 million in power. Also please expect some of those from other alliances to attack your settlement out of nowhere and they always have much more significant power than you which takes a lot of your power and wounds a lot of your troops and even after healing said troops you won’t be back at the same power you were before so you have to again work back up to where you were at which then means it takes longer to get where you actually wanted to be in power. They also decided out of no where to take away the ability for iPhone users to redeem gift codes (which provides free things such as but not limited to speed ups, biocaps, and so much more) they use to let iPhone users use that feature but then took it away so now I’m unable to get the free things like everyone else on the app there are apps like this out there that have features like this available for iPhone users so I fear that if they don’t bring that back they’ll lose a lot of their players, myself included. Overall a fun game but some take it too serious which can take the fun right out of it. I give it a Solid 7/10.

Playing 3 years

First it is a little expensive if you want to advance. Second should be rated 18+ because of the spending and also it’s like a long distance Tinder for gamers lol. Also it’s serious people spend real money to grow and be strong there is no place for a 12 year old in this game. Next customer service is almost non existent, good luck getting a response on things that are not basic. States are dying for many reasons too much to list here but if they made it easier for us to move back to a state or to another game play would be so much better. It’s like your held hostage with no where to go unless you log off for 61 days and by then you are behind on heroes and everything else. Behemoths, aircraft’s, new heroes, temptest arms, so much to spend on it gets overwhelming. It’s fun sometimes and they have lots of options for buying things but no options for what state you can play. Transfer event is a headache and also very costly and not enjoyable, most quit playing around transfer event time because they can’t reach their friends. And without friends there is no point to play. It would be nice to get a free move option we could use once every 6 months if needed, game play and spending would flourish if they made it easier for us to move or go back to states, again it feels like being held hostage. So much more I could say but I will leave it like this.

Hi, there! Thank you for your time and effort to rate us. Please note that all the purchases that you can do in the game are solely at the discretion of the player, and are optional. We constantly add features to help all players keep up despite their spending. Joining an active Alliance is a good move, but we work to even out the gameplay experience for everyone as well. Thank you for letting us know about your thoughts. Keep safe!

Account stolen and no way to get it back

I left the game 2023. I can no longer login. What was once a max acc being looked after by a trusted friend it now has been taken and because I don’t have “recent” enough transactions support won’t give it back. Nevermind that the account was setup and played and brought packs in Australia and from what I hear from old alliance members it’s being played by a Russian. Don’t have access to vip discord anymore and the contact I had there won’t reply. Don’t waste your time anyway because unless you have alliance members like myself that have the cash to pump into the game, you’ll be a free target as a free to play player. Also an account that was a year ago one of the strongest in the state and easily capable of running through competition in state vs state competitions can easily be defeated now an average free to play account will have a hard time surviving in a game that costs more to play at the top level now than it ever has.

Better than NoD!

Looking for a new game to play that’s similar to the other game that I have been playing for 7 months, and SoS didn’t disappoint! The graphics and varieties of events and items are much better than NoD! Glad to have made the switch!

Not what it seems

I downloaded this game from an add which promised me the Lucky hero plus treasure. I didn’t receive any of them and have since found out this is the case with a lot of players. I thought it was a zombie game but it is more manipulated towards power at any cost and that means destroying other players. To start with I really enjoyed the challenge of building up my own settlement and the excitement of getting new heroes. I still enjoy the game but I don’t want to join an alliance and attack everyone, if it wasn’t for a monthly event that I really like I would probably delete, that is if some alliance doesn’t wipe me out first. If you are into power games and spending money this would be a good game for you. Also there is no game support available and you pretty well have to figure things out yourself. A pity cause it could be a good game. I have since joined an alliance and am still playing, you don’t have to attack other players if you don’t wish to.

Game becoming money grab

The game was fun when I first started playing 2 years ago.. even then the game was a money grab and it always has been but as time went on the devs have added so many different battle mechanics that involve paying money to be worthy enough to play and win every event. The prices of the bundles they offer are insane.. if you aren’t looking to spend $2,500 a day or even more to keep up as a rally leader or even to get close to some other players in this game, I wouldn’t bother playing.
The game is also very laggy and glitchy. The devs rarely fix issues with lag and problems with how the game runs. I get multiple crashes and disconnects from the game constantly. I could go on about other issues with this game but that is basically how I feel about this game playing it for 2 years.

BEWARE

Beware this game is both a gift and a curse but day by day, update by update this game is losing its ‘shine’ & the negatives are stacking up thus outweighing the positives heavily. Basically you will start the the game for the novelty of the game & then you may end up staying in the game for years all for the people. All for these devs to find more ways to steal your money & possibly even putting up with some serious emotional, mental,(or pvp) bullying from fruit loops who feel high and mighty in the game. The events that once you were excited for repeat beyond end and get dull and boring. Want to know average cost to max their Behemoth feature? £35K!! What’s worse is you may spend some serious coin all for the game bugs to screw you out of some reward. Will they offer correct compensation? No. Beware of that which comes from installing the game. Their newest updates will have thousands no doubt millions quitting the game.
