  • Rethink Needed or Change of Developer

    This app is horrendous. Says off;one when it has two blue lights and is online. You have to wait 20 seconds for it to reset then shows online. My temperature is set to 22 degrees but the app shows 0 degrees setting yet the boiler fires up as it should.
    You really need a major fix or a new developer to build it again from scratch. I’ll be asking the next service engineer to refit my Hive which never let me down

  • Needs fixing

    - Can’t put in special characters in password & doesn’t inform you this
    - Translation labels don’t match up
    - Connecting shows “network issues” but if you spam tap the button it’ll work
    - Repeat all these steps every time because the account doesn’t persist
  • Upgrade Issues

    I have just had an update to the app and the hot water program options has been removed and you can only program heating on the app now. WHY????

    This needs to be looked at asap!!
  • Appalling

    Terrible app. Constantly resets itself to whatever it likes, temperatures bear no resemblance to those we input, eg will always reset Tuesday to have temp of 32c at 7am, no matter how many times we set it to a normal temperature. Constantly goes ‘offline’. Useless as a way of controlling the boiler
  • Very Poor. Needs fixing fast !

    Boiler is excellent but this app really lets the side down. Faults I have experienced are :
    1. Constant need to exit the app and then reopen otherwise it says “ offline”.
    2. Geofencing doesn’t work since it cannot identify my location despite all the data being accurately entered. It simply takes the name of my house and chooses a house with the same name which could be anywhere in UK !
    3. Oil consumption not updated daily.
    4. If an “E002” error appears on room thermostat it is not replicated in the app. Therefore, if you are away from home you could be thinking your boiler is working fine when it is not.
    Navien, get it fixed. The sooner the better because this app really tarnishes what could and should be an excellent product.

  • Needs additional support

    The setup process for this assumes that everything will go smoothly and look exactly as it does in the pictures. If it doesn’t, there is no way to skip the setup process or sidestep to get help. I have a Navien tankless water heater that is supposed to be compatible with this app, but there’s no apparent “Wi-Fi button” on it. Given that, the process for pairing it with the app must differ from the directions provided, but there’s no other guidance of any kind available. Please either tell me how to make this work or admit that I was misled about the water heater’s capabilities. If I’m going to have to tromp outside in the dark to manually reset “E003” every time I take a shower for the next 10 years, I’d rather not have the wound salted by false hope for a simpler solution. Thanks!

  • Awful, unusable app. Get it sorted!!

    The actual boiler itself is very reliable. But the app is truly awful. I would’ve given 0 stars if it were an option. Constantly says ‘offline’ so you have to close and reopen until it connects. Scheduling is totally non-intuitive. When you click on another day, it annoyingly automatically reverts to the Monday.

    Navien - ditch this app and get it redesigned by a professional.

  • Waste of money

    Do not pay the extra for this, the app does not stay connected, it comes up with check internet connectivity, there’s nothing wrong with my WiFi. Getting this has been one of the worst decisions I’ve made. And the excuses from their offices are pathetic. Terrible terrible terrible
  • Broken

    This app has a major fault that has developed. When I turn the heating down using the app, it resets itself back up again within a minute or 2 and the heating turns on again. It only stays off if I use the RF control instead. I can find no way to contact the developers via the Apple Store.
  • Appalling App

    Today, this app used 43% of my battery in 3 hours while running in the background! Apparently the app needs to use the same type of GPS usage as an actual navigation app and the only way to stop it is to kill the app. It’s just not good enough. I also agree with the other reviews about poor design and usability.
