  • Great app

This a great app and a lifesaver, being able to add and remove players on the fly. Using names makes it much easier than remembering numbers and the headache when people leave. Is there a way to adjust the number of courts without having to restart the session?
  • Perfect App but needs a few things

This is exactly what I was looking for except it needs a few minor features to be perfect. You need to be able print the games. And text to invite players.
  • Need some work

Needs some work. It would be nice if you could adjust players names if spelled incorrect without having to start completely over. And it would be a nice option to chose the number of games for rotation. Example: 13 players, but choosing an 8 game rotation on 3 courts. Thanks for your consideration
  • Great app but it runs out of games and does not randomize very well

It would be nice if the app would have unlimited games as advertised. When we play 2 hours with 9 people, it should not run out after only 6 games. There is plenty more games that could be arranged with different player and court match ups. Other than that, love the ease of use app!
  • Love this app!

Could you make it printable? And shareable? It would be even more useful to be able to share images of each game. I’ve been using screen shots and cropping.
  • Great App

We use this app a ton! We love the fact that it allows you to play with everyone especially in a group of 8. However we have noticed that it doesn’t mix the folks on the court as well as we would like. For instance it seems like you play across from the same player 2-3 times in a row. It’s not a huge deal with 8 players but when we have 12 and don’t get the chance to play with all 11 players, it would be nice to at least play across from different players in the 7-8 games we play in the 2-2.5 hours. We kind of solve this by jumping around the 11 games that the app generates but that gets confusing because you can’t mark it as played. Just some thoughts!👍🏼. Great app!

  • Best RR Scheduler

This app is the BEST! Tried other apps but had players sitting out consecutive games, duplicated partners; PB players can be fussy! Seems to manage not playing same opponents quite well. Love it!!
  • Very Helpful App

I have been using this app for a year now. It works fairly well, a few improvements would help. Sometimes, when removing people who leave early, the app spins and never resets. It would help to be able to copy a group and add them as a different group name. This would help as a baseline for groups that are relatively repetitive and it would help as a backup copy if a modification causes the present app to spin and crash.

    Developer Response

Ive done an update that I hope will address the spinning wheel. Give it a try!
  • Locked up while using

I’ve used PB Play about 10 times and would have given it a 5 star review until today when it locked up while using it. I had a group of 13 that was playing doubles on 3 courts. After about 5 games I went in to remove a player and when I came back a spinning wheel would not go away. I ended up aborting the session.

  • Using every week for my Round Robins

We have several members of our club using this app. My use of the app is evolving. One of my original frustrations with the app was that that I did not know how to remove a person from the app. Now I know to swipe left to remove the person. This solves multiple issues for me including the need to edit a player’s entry. Now I simply remove the entry and re-add as needed.

Also, the ability to add or remove a person in the middle of a Round Robin session is totally awesome.

Sometimes I will run a Round Robin session until there are only 3 people that still want to play. This app allows me to keep removing people and continue to reset rotations with reduced numbers until there are only 3 people remaining.

I also like to start each name with a number (I.E. 01, 02, 03 etc.). I assign the numbers and then I only have to call numbers instead of names. This avoids having to call out last names of people who have the same first name - I don’t have to worry about pronunciation unusual last names. As people drop out, it doesn’t matter that certain numbers are no longer called. They are just placeholders.
